Finished Knit Scarf and Happy Valentine's Day

February 14, 2014

Hello friends!  I have finally finished the scarf that I had been knitting and you can see the post HERE where I started working on it.  This is my first finished project for 2014 and it feels great! This scarf will be donated to the Christmas Fair at my church for the fall.  The yarn was supplied for me to use from the knit/crochet group that I belong to at my church.  I like the way the scarf came out and I love the color of this variegated yarn.

I was originally going to make this into an infinity scarf but I was not given enough yarn to work with, only a small skein, so I decided to make it into a regular scarf.  I then added a crocheted edge to the bottom of the scarf to give it a finished look.  I also finally finished reading the book Julie and Romeo by Jeanne Ray and it was a nice light read and totally I enjoyed it.

Thanks for looking at my finished knit scarf and the book that I finally finished reading too!

WISHING EVERYONE A HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!

  7. Good morning Julie, isn't it amazing how even the smallest skein of yarn can be created into something so beautiful. The muted colours of the variegated yarn are lovely. A finished project for you and the church Christmas Fair will appreciate it I'm sure.

  20. Beautiful scarf! I crochet, but reeeeeeeally want to teach myself how to knit. There are some things that I just prefer the look of knit finish rather than crochet! Is that weird? lol Thanks so much for linking up with us at the MaMade Blog Hop! Don't forget to stop back next week to link up again and see if you've been featured! :) Have a great week!

  22. Knitting intimidates me. I love to crochet, though. Your scarf is lovely and the added edge really gives it a finished look. Thanks for sharing at Inspire Us Thursday on Organized 31.
