I was originally going to make this into an infinity scarf but I was not given enough yarn to work with, only a small skein, so I decided to make it into a regular scarf. I then added a crocheted edge to the bottom of the scarf to give it a finished look. I also finally finished reading the book Julie and Romeo by Jeanne Ray and it was a nice light read and totally I enjoyed it.
Thanks for looking at my finished knit scarf and the book that I finally finished reading too!
WISHING EVERYONE A HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!
Julie
This is beautiful! Not enough people appreciate 'just garter stitch' scarves in my opinion :)
ReplyDeleteIt did turn out just lovely!! And Happy Valentine's Day to you!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, there is just nothing as squishy and warm as a garter stitch scarf
ReplyDeleteFabulous scarf, Julie! I simply love it :) Happy Valentine's Day to you! Hugs
ReplyDeleteI want to squeeze the scarf. Simply the happiest post all wrapped up for Valentines Day.
ReplyDeleteThat is pretty yarn! did it have a label? looks so soft and squeezable.
ReplyDeleteGood morning Julie, isn't it amazing how even the smallest skein of yarn can be created into something so beautiful. The muted colours of the variegated yarn are lovely. A finished project for you and the church Christmas Fair will appreciate it I'm sure.
ReplyDeleteGreat scarf Julie, love the colours :)
ReplyDeleteThe scarf looks so warm and cuddly - I love the soft colors. Someone will really appreciate it! Hope your Valentine's Day was sweet, Julie. xo Karen
ReplyDeleteJulie,

This scarf looks really soft ... love the shades of brown & tan. And that's a nice detail on the edges :) Wendy x
ReplyDeleteI am totally taken by the color! A fab piece of work Julie!
ReplyDeletePretty colors Julie! Looks like it would go nicely with lots of other colors, and it looks very 'touchable'.
ReplyDeleteI have signed up for a knitting class - Hope to make something as lovely as this scarf - love the yarn you used.
ReplyDeleteLove the scarf, so beautiful. Thanks tons for linking to Inspire Me. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful. I'm a little scared to try knitting. Wish I could find a class to take to help me get over the anxiety. :-)

such a great scarf and I love the color!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful scarf! I crochet, but reeeeeeeally want to teach myself how to knit. There are some things that I just prefer the look of knit finish rather than crochet! Is that weird? lol Thanks so much for linking up with us at the MaMade Blog Hop! Don't forget to stop back next week to link up again and see if you've been featured! :) Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteGreat job Julie. I love the muted colors! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
Knitting intimidates me. I love to crochet, though. Your scarf is lovely and the added edge really gives it a finished look. Thanks for sharing at Inspire Us Thursday on Organized 31.
