Hello blog friends. HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
This year I will be giving out mini chocolates to the trick-or-treaters.
We like dressing Bosco in different costumes each year. Bosco was dressed as a pumpkin two years ago.
Last year Bosco wore his Super Dog costume. He mostly stayed in his bed and didn't even get up when the door bell rang with trick-or-treaters.
Bosco will wear his pumpkin costume again this year.

Happy Friday and welcome to my Friday Favorites Fall.
I was happy to see the Harry Styles Love On Tour concert with my daughter. We saw him last month and it was held at Madison Square Garden in New York City. We had so much fun and Harry Styles puts on a great show. We had a fun time picking out concert merch.
I saw the movie Don't Worry Darling with a friend of mine. I enjoyed this movie after seeing the Harry Styles Love on Tour concert. Here's the summary of the movie:
In the 1950s, Alice and Jack live in the idealized community of Victory, an experimental company town that houses the men who work on a top-secret project. While the husbands toil away, the wives get to enjoy the beauty, luxury and debauchery of their seemingly perfect paradise. However, when cracks in her idyllic life begin to appear, exposing flashes of something sinister lurking below the surface, Alice can't help but question exactly what she's doing in Victory.
I like watching Halloween movies that aren't too scary. We recently enjoyed the movie Hocus Pocus on Disney +. I'm looking forward to watching Hocus Pocus 2. Here is a summary of the movie:
After moving to Salem, Mass., teenager Max Dennison (Omri Katz) explores an abandoned house with his sister Dani (Thora Birch) and their new friend, Allison (Vinessa Shaw). After dismissing a story Allison tells as superstitious, Max accidentally frees a coven of evil witches (Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kathy Najimy) who used to live in the house. Now, with the help of a magical cat, the kids must steal the witches' book of spells to stop them from becoming immortal.
Each fall I love getting a Dunkin' pumpkin muffin. They have good pumpkin donuts too. I know a lot of people like pumpkin spice lattes but I've tried and I just don't like them.
I saw this cute sign in our local coffee shop.
We enjoyed visiting a new Trader Joe's that just opened up near us. I love this pumpkin and gourd display. I'm hoping to visit this store again.
I like decorating my front stoop with mums and pumpkins. A squirrel has already enjoyed chomping on one of the pumpkins. 😠
Our neighborhood goes all out with decorating for Halloween. This one is decorated with skulls and scary decorations. I've seen so many houses decorated with skeletons this year. I always decorate the outside of my house with cute decorations.
I love crocheting mini pumpkins. I like decorating my mantel each fall with them. To make a crochet pumpkin, you can find the crochet pattern here.
I'm not sure what is happening with Blogger, but some of your comments are not appearing in the comments section of my blog posts. I want to let you know that I do receive your comments and I read your emails.

It's been a while since I've done a
This or That blog post.
I thought it'd be fun to do a This or That - Dog or Cat.
I choose Dog!
I love dogs and below you can see some photos of our dog Bosco. Bosco is a Corgi/Dachshund mix who we adopted and rescued when we saw him on the website Petfinder. We rescued him from a house in New Jersey filled with many cats and dogs. We brought him home and we loved Bosco's energy as he ran around the house. He is so friendly with people, kids, and even cats, and other dogs. I can't believe Bosco will be 15 years old tomorrow October 15th. We'll celebrate by giving Bosco a hamburger and a few chicken nuggets from McDonald's.

We visited the Metropolitan Museum of Art back in July. We also spent some time in Central Park after our visit to the museum.
My daughter also gave us a tour through parts of Central Park. My daughter is familiar with the park since she used to visit the park after school with her friends.
It was a beautiful afternoon to take a boat out on the water.
We came across the Bethesda Fountain and saw the Angel on the Water sculpture.
The Bethesda Fountain and Central Park are also famous filming spots for tv the show Gossip Girl and many other famous movies.

Below you will see photos of the Bethesda Terrace Arcade. The ceiling tiles were made from the Minton Tile Company in England.

We enjoyed cooling off sitting on a bench in the shade.
The park has many famous statues and above is of the Women's Rights Pioneers and below is Christopher Columbus.
It was nice to see the tall buildings in the distance of the park.
We had a nice afternoon walking through Central Park. I hope to visit the park again this fall.

Hello friends and happy October. In our house we love eating zucchini especially during the summer months. I had a few zucchini's that I needed to use up and I decided to add them into a pasta bake. This pasta casserole is so easy to make and it tastes delicious. I hope you enjoy this as much as my family.
I sauteed the zucchini in a pan with olive oil and seasonings.
I added the pasta and zucchini to a large bowl.
Next, I added in the marinara sauce, cottage cheese, and mixed everything together. I added everything to a large baking dish, added the cheese, and baked it for a half hour.
ZUCCHINI PASTA BAKE
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 lb. pasta
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 6 garlic cloves minced
- 3 zucchini, chopped
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- salt & pepper to taste
- 1 cup of cottage cheese
- 3 cups of marinara sauce
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
- cooking spray
- tin foil
- large baking dish
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Cook the pasta according to the package directions, taking out 2 minutes early so that the pasta is al dente. Drain and set pasta aside. Heat the olive oil in a pan. Add the zucchini, garlic, Italian seasoning, and onion powder. Cook zucchini until just tender and season with salt and pepper. In a large bowl, stir together the pasta, zucchini, marinara sauce, and cottage cheese. Pour into a large baking dish sprayed with cooking spray. Top with Parmesan cheese and mozzarella cheese. Bake for 15 minutes covered with tin foil. Remove the tin foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until heated through and the cheese is melted.
