Hello everyone. One of the reasons I enjoy blogging is meeting new friends and forming friendships with them. It's what keeps me going and makes blogging fun for me. :)
Through blogging I met a new friend Rhonda who blogs at Ramblings of a Southern Girl. Rhonda recently did a fun post on how to style a shelf (shelfie) as she put it and she also had a fun giveaway. She featured this cow cup and I was chosen as the winner and she also included caramel candies. It was such a shock and pleasant surprise to me and so sweet and thoughtful of Rhonda. Please stop by and visit Rhonda's blog where she shares about recipes, interior decorating, and much more.
When I showed the cute cow cup to my husband and teen, they both said that it was so adorable, and I totally agree! I have the cow cup sitting on my kitchen counter and I'm using it to hold our sugar packets.
Look how darn cute the cow cup is!
Thanks again Rhonda for selecting me as the winner of your giveaway and for our new blogging friendship!
On my blog I enjoy sharing with you the recipes that I make and cook for my family and friends.
What I really love and get excited about is when I get feed back from you and some of you make the recipes I make and share such as the Grilled Fish with Asparagus in Foil Packets.
Below you can see a photo of fish that Kitty sent me, from Kitty who blogs at Kitty's Kozy Kitchen. She made the fish for dinner and sent me the photo of it.
If you haven't met Kitty yet, please visit her blog where she shares her crafts, and recipes that she enjoys baking for her family and friends.
Thanks Kitty for making the grilled fish. I'm so happy I inspired you to cook it and I hope you enjoyed it as much as my family did!
I also have another blog friend who enjoys cooking vegan dishes for her family. Heather who blogs at Our Life in a Click uses an ingredient called Nutritional Yeast Flakes in many of her recipes. Please take a minute to stop by Heather's blog where she shares posts about her recipes, travel, and family.
I have a teen who is very interested in vegan and vegetarian recipes. I was so inspired to buy this ingredient from Heather's recommendation. Thanks Heather we use it now to sprinkle it in our soup and on our pasta.
Below is a photo of the nutritional yeast flakes that I bought in our health department of our grocery store.
If you have never heard of nutritional yeast flakes before it has a nutty and cheese like flavor to it.
Thanks blogging friends you are the best and lets keep inspiring each other!!
Hello friends! Have you been creating any crochet projects lately?
I crocheted these cute potholders recently, and I'd love to share them with you. :)
When summer and hot weather arrives I love crocheting potholders. For me they are fun to make and I love working with cotton yarn as it's just too hot for me to work with wool. I also like making quick little projects that can be brought along anywhere to work on. These are perfect to use as potholders, a coaster, or even a dishcloth.
I made the red potholder for my mom, to match her kitchen colors. The yellow potholder I made for my sister. These make great gifts and you can add pretty soap or liquid dish soap to them.

Hello everyone. Are you enjoying summer so far? I know I am with warm weather and summer here, we love grilling season. :)
I recently made these fish packets for dinner and they tasted so good!
In my family I love making easy meals that are healthy and taste delicious. This is a light meal to make for dinner that everyone will love. These grilled fish packets would even be perfect to serve for a get together this summer.
These fish packets are so easy to assemble and dinner can be ready in minutes.
I made mine using cod fish and asparagus. You can just substitute the cod fish, and use any fish you like and the same goes for the asparagus and use any veggie you like. :)
Here is the recipe to make cod fish with asparagus.
GRILLED FISH WITH ASPARAGUS IN FOIL PACKETS
SERVING:
Makes enough for 3 to 4 people
INGREDIENTS:
3 - 4 cod fish, fresh
1 big batch of asparagus, cut in half
2 lemons, sliced into rounds
olive oil
salt & pepper to taste
tin foil sheets
DIRECTIONS:
Take one sheet of tin foil and spray with cooking spray.
Place 3 lemon slices on foil sheet, then add fish on top of lemons.
Add asparagus on both sides of fish.
Drizzle olive oil and lemon juice on top of everything.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Wrap up foil packet. Assemble the same way for each packet.
Place packet on grill set to medium for about 15 minutes or until it looks cooked enough.
Done!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend. Jess and I will see you all back here on Monday for our Cooking and Crafting with J & J Link Up!
Disclosure: I was invited to do this blog post by Chobani. All opinions are my own.
Hi everyone! Most evenings I crave something sweet, especially after I eat dinner. My go-to sweet snack is usually yogurt. One of my favorite brands of greek yogurt is Chobani, and recently they came out with this new type of yogurt called Flips. This new design of yogurt brings the two tastes of fruit and yogurt together in a totally new way. The container is split in two and on one side there is vanilla greek yogurt and on the other side there is fruit, nuts, etc.
I always like to try different and unique foods. A personal favorite combination is mayonnaise on onion rings. Another combination that is very delicious is vanilla ice cream with peanut butter.
Do you have any unique food flavors you like mixing together?
Chobani sent me a few pictures of their Flavor Soulmate flow chart to help you find what Flip you might like to try.
Take a look and choose one of your Flavor Soulmates - There is a Flip for You:

Craving something Sweet? Flavor Soulmate Sweet 'N Sweet

Chocolate Haze Craze
Key Lime Crumble
Peanut Butter Dream
Almond Coco Loco
Craving something Salty? Flavor Soulmate Sweet N' Salty

Salted Caramel Crunch
PB & J
Nutty For Nana
Craving something Spicy? Flavor Soulmate Sweet N' Spicy

Sriracha Mango
Chipotle Pineapple
I wasn't a huge fan of the Sweet N' Salty just because it's not the usual flavor I crave. It definitely has the ability to satisfy the craving for something sweet and salty, but at the time I ate it I was very full and could not appreciate it. The flavors are very unique and I think that you all should at least try it before you knock it. Who knows, maybe your next favorite yogurt will be sriracha mango or key lime crumble?
Which yogurt sounds most interesting to you? And which yogurt would you most likely try?
Thanks everyone and enjoy!

Hello blogging friends, I hope you all had a great 4th of July! I had a fun time celebrating at a family get together! :)
As some of you know I love makeup, and today I'd love to share with you some of my favorite summer makeup!
1) I love wearing bright pastel nail polish when summertime arrives. Lately I have been wearing different shades of light blue on my nails. I also like to wear white and a very light pink nail polish color. I also find it very relaxing painting my own nails and giving myself a manicure. Do you like painting your own nails? I wish I could do the same with my toenails, but I always get a pedicure at the salon about every two weeks. I also enjoy wearing bright pinks and coral colors for my toenails. The nail polish I'm wearing is by Essie and the color is Mint Candy Apple.
Do you have a favorite color you like wearing on your nails and feet?
2) I happen to be very fair skinned, so I decided to try out this product, Jergens Natural Glow when I saw a blog post done by my blogging friend, Ginnie from Hello Little Home. You can click HERE and read about this sunless tanning lotion post from Ginnie. I also saw a post done by blogging buddy AnnMarie from Musings of a Vintage Junkie and you can read her post HERE.
Well, I was so happy when I read these posts, that I went out and bought this sunless tanning product. It's been many years since I last used this sunless tanning lotion. It really worked great, and it gave my legs, arms, and even my face a nice even tan. What I liked most about this product, was that there wasn't any streaking and the smell of the lotion wasn't so bad. The price for this varies at different drug stores but ranges about $8 to $10.00. I hope you will give this product a try.
Thanks ladies for the recommendation!
3) I received this Make Up For Ever mascara sample from Sephora, since I had some points to use up. This mascara happens to be one of my favorites right now. It goes on nice without any clumps and makes my lashes look long. It's also easy to remove with makeup towelettes or any makeup remover you like to use. The next time I need mascara I will be purchasing this and it's about $24 at Sephora.
4) This Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer is such a wonderful makeup product, but a really expensive one at $44 a tube. I was given a gift certificate to Bloomingdales for Christmas, and I decided to give this tinted moisturizer a try. I received a sample of this from Sephora and I loved it. I have also seen this all over Pinterest and it's a very popular tinted moisturizer. It had many great reviews and I can see why. I really love the way this goes on your face with a blending sponge and the color I used is Nude to go with my skin coloring. It's also lightweight and has an SPF 20 sunscreen.
I really liked this product, but I don't think I will be buying this again as it's so expensive! There are many other BB creams and tinted moisturizers out there that work well and do not cost so much.
5) This Creme Smooth Lip Colour in the color Lychee Parfait is by Laura Mercier and a beautiful lipstick. I picked out this lipstick also from Bloomingdales along with the tinted moisturizer. This lipstick goes on smooth and it's a long wearing formula that lasts for 6 to 8 hours. This lipstick is also a splurge product that costs $28.00 a tube. It looks really nice with a lip liner in a similar color to match the lipstick.

Hello blogging friends. The 4th of July will soon be here. I have only a few decorations displayed for the holiday and below you can see them.
I went to the Dollar Tree store and found the bow I have on my door, the flag in my flower pot, and the cute star decorations. I have two of the star decorations displayed on either side of my mantel. I hope to add more to my collection for next year. :)
Do you decorate for the 4th of July?

A while ago I shared with you a simple recipe for apple pie. I decided to share this easy and delicious apple pie recipe with you again.
