Week 12 - Coco Mademoiselle Chanel
Hi friends and welcome to Makeup Monday Week 12. I was blessed this past Christmas with another wonderful gift from my lovely teenage daughter. Each holiday she picks out a new perfume and she chose this one for me. I love this scent and it's a winner. It's so popular right now and the scent is bold but not overpowering.
I would suggest the next time you are in a department store or a store like Sephora to try it on and see if you like it. The size bottle that I have is .50mil. and it's about $68.00 depending on where you buy it.
To see the link for this perfume click HERE.
This would make a great Mother's Day or birthday present too!
Do you have a favorite perfume that you like and what is it? Thanks for stopping by everyone and see you next week.
Thanks everyone and Enjoy!

Hi friends, I'd like to share with you this recipe for Chicken and Mushrooms that I make all the time for my family.
I usually make this dish during the week and the recipe is quick and simple and goes great with rice.
Chicken with Mushrooms Recipe
Ingredients:
2 packages of thin chicken cutlets cut in half
2 teaspoons minced garlic
1 - 8oz. can tomato sauce
2 - 4oz. cans of mushrooms
1 tablespoon olive oil to coat pan
salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
Coat a large frying pan with olive oil and minced garlic. Saute the garlic in the pan for a few minute until the garlic is lightly browned. Add chicken cutlets and season with salt and pepper to taste. Saute the chicken on each side until the pink is gone. Add mushrooms and tomato sauce to the pan and sauté for about 20 minutes. Done. Enjoy!
Wishing you all a nice weekend and I hope I have inspired you to try out this recipe. Let me know if you liked it.

Week 11 - Spring Nail Polish
Week 11 - Spring Nail Polish
Hello friends! Nothing says Spring to me like bright nail polish! Nail polish is so popular right now and it comes in such beautiful shades. I love nail polish and I have so many different colors and brands. These nail polishes are a small collection of my daughter's.
In the winter months I usually wear dark colors and not too light or bright, but when the spring and summer comes I like using brighter colors.
The first bottle of polish is from Butter London and the color is Trout Pout. This polish was bought in the Boots Drug Store in London when we were on vacation there over the summer and to see that post you can see it HERE. Great news on the Butter London Nail Lacquer you don't have to be in London to buy it! They now sell this polish and makeup in Macy's and to see the link click HERE. This is a splurge nail polish and it costs $15.00 if you want to treat yourself!
The next are from Essie and the colors from left to right are: Cute as a Button, Go Ginza, A Cut Above, and Bachelorette Bash. These polishes cost about $8.50.
The next are from Forever 21 and the colors are from left to right: Eggplant, Overcast, and Lavender and they were only $2.80 a bottle.
Do you like wearing nail polish and what is your favorite brand and color?
I hope you all enjoyed this post about nail polish and I look forward to seeing you all next Monday!
Thanks everyone and Enjoy!

Hi friends! Wednesday was the feast of St. Joseph and to celebrate many people eat the pastry called Zeppole. My father-in-law used to own a bakery in Williamsburg, Brooklyn and he would bake them all the time for this occasion. It's a tradition in my husbands family to eat them and this is the pastry that I shared with my daughter. The pastry is filled with yellow cream and it's so delicious that if you have never tried one you have too!
This morning I gave Bosco a walk near the water and here are some pictures that I would love to share with you.
Here is what this tree looks like now that it's the start of Spring and this is what the tree looked in the winter and incase you missed that post you can see it HERE.
I started crocheting granny squares for an afghan that I'm making for our annual crochet sale at our church that we have each fall. I have decided to crochet the squares together. I'm still working on the men's scarf that I have been knitting and incase you missed that post you can see it HERE.

Hi friends, there will not be a Makeup Monday this week because I wanted to wish everyone today a HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!
I made on Thursday afternoon Irish Soda Bread and it came out really good. It was so delicious and not dry at all. Our good friend Mike gave me this recipe from his mom who was from Ireland. I am not sure if he wanted me to share his moms recipe so I am sharing with you a few photos of the bread I baked.
This bread came out so good and we loved it so much that I'm going to make another loaf of it this afternoon! We all love Irish Soda Bread and it tastes so good warm with butter spread on top.
We are going to have corned beef, potatoes and roasted brussels sprouts for dinner tonight and if you want to see my recipe for brussels sprouts you can find that HERE. My husband, daughter and I love celebrating St. Patrick's Day each year and many years ago my husband and I went out with all our friends to the St. Patrick's Day parade in New York City and that was so much fun! Now we usually stay home and watch the parade on TV!
I now want to share with you an Irish Blessing that I like:

Hi friends, back in February of 2013 I shared with you a recipe for Spaghetti and Clams and I would love to share it with you again. This is a quick and easy recipe and it's a family favorite in my house.
Ingredients:
1 16 oz. package of Spaghetti or Whole Wheat (any brand)
1 6.5 oz. can of Snow's Chopped Clams in Clam Juice
4 garlic cloves - chopped
3 tablespoons of olive oil
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
dash of salt and pepper
Directions:
In a big sauté pan add olive oil, garlic, and red pepper flakes. In another big pot filled three quarters of the way with water add salt and bring to a boil. Follow the package directions to cook the spaghetti. Meanwhile, sauté the oil, garlic, and red pepper flakes. When the garlic starts to brown add in the clams with the clam juice and sauté until the pasta is cooked. Drain the spaghetti and add to the clams. Mix together and serve with grated cheese.
NOTE: If you do not like clams, you can substitute the clams with shrimp or any other seafood that you like!

Week 10 - Waterliner - Intense Color Eyeliner by em Michelle Phan
Week 10 - Waterliner - Intense Color Eyeliner by em Michelle Phan
Hi friends, and welcome to Makeup Monday Week 10. Today we are going to talk about eyeliner. I always use eyeliner and this eyeliner works really nice and all you have to do is twist the pencil and the liner comes up. This eyeliner goes on smooth and stays on well. I was introduced to this product by my daughter and she gave this to me for Christmas. I like this eyeliner and I would recommend this if you want to splurge and try something new. The colors that I have are Chocolate Dream and Black Olive and there are twelve colors available to choose from and the price range is $18.00.
To see the link for this amazing eyeliner it is HERE.
In case you missed any Makeup Monday you can see them HERE.
Thanks again for stopping by this week and I can't wait to share with you again next Monday!

Hi friends, I would love to share with you this loopy crochet scarf I made last week. As many of you know I have been working on a men's knit scarf and you can see that here, well I am bored with that right now and I wanted to crochet something fast and to remind me of Spring. Well here is a scarf I made and I chose bright colored yarn in turquoise and green.
This scarf pattern is from Red Heart and the link to it is HERE if you would like to make one too. The yarn that I used is different from what was called for. I used one skein of Red Heart Super Saver in the color Turqua Art. E300 0512 and the other skein is Spring Green Vert Printemps Primavera Verde Art. E300 0672.
This scarf was so much fun to make and I had it finished in 2 sittings. I hope I have inspired you to make one too.

I love macaroons and I bought five of these at Whole Foods Market last weekend. I got each one in a different yummy flavor and they were so good!
Have you ever tried macaroons and do you like them?
Thanks everyone and Enjoy!

Week 9 - Arched Difining Brow Liner by em Michelle Phan
Hello friends, right now keeping your eyebrows in manicured condition is really popular! I have come across this brow pencil that fills in my eyebrows and the color of the pencil matches them perfectly. There is a pencil on one side and a brush on the other that works well to give my eyebrows a manicured look to fill them in. The color of the brow liner that I'm using is Ash Blonde and I would recommend this product if you like trying new makeup. My daughter gave me this for Christmas and I really love how this works. My daughter is constantly introducing me to all kinds of different makeup and I'm willing to try it and it's so much fun.
The link is here to see the eyebrow liner by em Michelle Phan. I hope that I may have inspired you to try something different or new and thanks for stopping by.
Do come back next week for my Makeup Monday Series!
Thanks everyone and Enjoy!
