Week 24 - Kirkland Daily Facial Towelettes
Week 24 - Kirkland Daily Facial Towelettes
Hi friends, I hope you all enjoyed your summer and Labor Day Weekend. I totally enjoyed my summer and it just went by too fast for me. I am so happy to be starting up my Makeup Monday again and welcome to Week 24 of the series.
I used to use Neutrogena Makeup Remover Towelettes to remove all traces of my makeup but I was paying $7 for a 25 count package. I really liked the Neutrogena brand but I'm a member of Costco and I wanted to try out the Kirkland Daily Facial Towelettes.
I really love the Kirkland Daily Facial Towelettes and they take off all of my makeup and it's gentle and not irritating around my eye area. I use regular mascara and it takes it off easily and the rest of my makeup with one sheet. It says that you do not need to rinse but I always clean my face with Clinque cleanser afterwards. The towelettes are made with a mild formula that contains cucumber, chamomile flower extract, and aloe to remove all traces of makeup, oil and dirt.
In the box of Kirkland Daily Facial Towelettes you get 150 count all together in the box. It contains (4) - 30 count flip top lid packs and (2) - 15 count travel packs for the price of $11.99 for the whole box. That is a huge savings! I usually split up the packs with my daughter and I feel happy that I know I'm saving a lot of money and still using a good product.
If it's not convenient to get to Costco then I suggest using the Neutrogena Makeup Remover Towelettes.
* Makeup Tip - Always remove all your makeup at night and wash your face with a facial cleanser.
What do you use to remove your makeup?
Thanks so much for stopping by this week for Makeup Monday and see you all next week.
Thanks everyone and Enjoy!

Hi friends, I'm happy to say that I accomplished reading a book this summer.
I started reading back in the beginning of July the book The Paris Wife by Paula McLain.
Let me explain why it's been so long since I have read a book. I love reading books but I don't seem to have much time to read anymore due to family, crocheting, knitting and blogging and watching TV!
I promised myself for the summer that I would read one book and finish it. It felt really good to be reading again and I didn't want the book to end because I was enjoying it so much. Lol!
If you have not read the book yet I highly recommend it. To quickly sum up the book, it's about Ernest Hemingway and his wife Hadley Richardson and their life in Paris in the 1920's.
I just started reading the book AND THEN THERE WERE NONE by Agatha Christie. I love mystery books and this looks like it will be a good book. This book was recommended to me to read by my daughter who had to read this book for school.
I am on a roll right now with reading and I do hope it won't take me a long to finish reading the book. I will let you know what I thought of it when I'm done reading it.
What book are you reading right now?

Hi friends, I have a simple way of making asparagus on the grill that I would love to share with you before summer ends.
GRILLED ASPARAGUS
Take your asparagus and brush them with olive oil and then sprinkle salt and pepper on them to taste. Grill for seven to eight minutes. Done.
I hope you enjoy this easy way to make grilled asparagus the next time that you have a BBQ! This would be perfect for Labor Day Weekend!
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.
Thanks everyone and Enjoy!

Hi friends, I had such a good time on vacation in California and while we were there we went shopping. We visited Downtown and 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica and to see the link you can click HERE. Here are a few pictures of the shopping area that my daughter and I visited.
If you are ever in this area you do not want to miss all the outdoor shopping and the streets are closed off from cars. They had really cute topiary's in different shapes of animals in the middle of the street too.
We also visited Universal Studios in Hollywood, California and to see the link you can click HERE. Here are some photos I took while we were there. If you visit you have to go on the Jurassic Park ride where you see life like dinosaurs and parts of the ride you can get splashed with water!
We also got to see the area where they do the show Extra TV with Mario Lopez.
Here in the background you can see where they are applying makeup to Mario Lopez.
We also spent the day at Venice Beach, CA and we also walked the boardwalk too. It was such a nice day at the beach.

The color of these potholders/dishcloths sure do remind me of fall and it's just around the corner.
I have been crocheting potholders lately and these are a fun and quick project to make. I love crocheting these in the summertime when it is too hot to go outside. I don't like working on anything heavy either like a blanket as it will be sitting on my lap.
I am making these and donating them for our annual Christmas Fair at my church. The yarn that I used is Bernat, Handicrafter Cotton, Harvest Home Collection in the color Landscape. This yarn was provided for me to use by my crochet group. The crochet hook I used is US size H.
To see the pattern that I used to make these potholders please visit HERE and to visit my past blog post of the dishcloths I made click HERE.
I hope I've inspired you to make these fun and easy potholders. These make great gifts for any occasion.

I think we call all say that we carry around too much stuff in our handbags and I'm one of them. You have to move around a lot of things to get to the bottom of my bag and it can get heavy at times. I sometimes carry around other people's things too. This is why I'm going to clean out my bag at least once a week. Are you guilty of a messy bag or is your bag neat and organized?
I'm joining Jen from JENerally Informed and Celeste from Leapfrog and Lipgloss for Mommy Reality Challenge #11 - Invasion of the Purse Snatchers for this fun link party.
Thanks everyone and Enjoy!

California Vacation - Day 2
We had a Korean BBQ dinner late the first night that we arrived in California. It consisted of assorted vegetables, beef and chicken that we had to grill ourselves. It was so much fun and the food was delicious.
On the second day after spending a long day at Disneyland we decided to go to Panera Bread for dinner. I had a mediterranean chicken flatbread sandwich and broccoli cheddar soup in a bread bowl and they both were good.
My husband, daughter and I spent the day at Disneyland and here are just a few of the pictures I took of our day there. Look I made it into one of the pictures on the bottom left you can see me dunking my feet in the pool. That evening we all spent time in the jacuzzi relaxing and and swimming in the pool and it was so wonderful.
To see the link to Disneyland Park in California you can click HERE.
This is a photo of the Haunted Mansion in New Orleans Square. This was a scary tour and ride of a haunted house. My daughter was so scared that she was clinging onto to her dad and we all had fun and a good time on this scary ride.
Here are more pictures of the backyard with all the pretty plants and succulents. I love our friend's outdoor kitchen too!
The house was so beautiful and here is a peek of the inside. Bandit is relaxing on the kitchen counter in the bottom right hand photo.
