Happy Friday friends.
I can't believe that Thanksgiving will be here in less than a week. I've been busy planning and getting everything ready since I will be hosting Thanksgiving this year.
I will be making turkey breast, sausage stuffing, and corn pudding muffins are always a big hit. I'm still trying to figure out what we'll have for an appetizer.
These recipes can be found here and Kitty's corn pudding recipe can be found at her blog here. Thanks, Kitty for this recipe as my family loves this dish.
Yesterday on the Today show they had many all-star chefs sharing their recipes and tips for Thanksgiving. You can read that post here.
At the beginning of the month, Sephora had a big sale on makeup and many products. I took advantage of that sale and bought some Christmas gifts and makeup for myself.
I had many sales associates help me with my shopping list.
I bought this high-end mascara from Yves Saint Laurent in a blue color found here. I love the pop of blue for my lashes and it'll be nice to wear for the holidays.
I found this blue eyeliner from Sephora and it goes nicely with the mascara.
I also took advantage of sales at the Gap Factory store. I bought this sweater for the holidays and winter. I also bought a light green sweater, and a black turtleneck top.
I bought these faux leather pants on sale. They will look perfect with my winter sweaters.
I love how comfortable these high rise universal legging jeans are. They look great with sneakers and boots.
I will be doing a lot of food shopping this weekend for Thanksgiving. I'll also be getting the dining room table ready and any cleaning that I need to do.
I hope you have a happy Friday and weekend. Wishing you a wonderful and happy Thanksgiving.

Hello friends. I'm joining Joanne from My Slices of Life, for her Not Just a Mom link-up. This month we are discussing Comfort Food.
My family and I all love comfort food. I love making different comfort foods for our weekly night meals. My meals are usually quick and simple to make. I like making a lot so that we can have left-overs for lunch or dinner. Some nights if it's just my husband and I eating dinner, I will make enough food so that I can put half of the meal in the freezer for another dinner.
Below are some of the comfort foods I make for dinner:
I also make pasta with broccoli rabe, which is a family favorite.
In addition to some of these dishes I make for dinner, I like to eat:
- pizza
- chicken wings
- any pasta dish
- cheese burger
- fries
- mashed potatoes
- meatloaf
- casseroles
- grilled cheese
What comfort foods do you like?
If you would like to join in on this link-up, below you will find the topics for each month.

HAPPY NOVEMBER!
I hope everyone had a happy Halloween. I can't believe how fast the time is flying by and before you know it we'll be celebrating Thanksgiving and the holidays.
Today I linking up with Jennifer from Overflowing with Thankfulness and sharing what I'm loving, buying, prepping, borrowing, and planning.
LOVING: I'm excited that we will be celebrating Thanksgiving in a few weeks. It's a wonderful time of year to be with family and friends.
BUYING: We've recently had some renovations done to our house. We had a new garage door installed, a new toilet put into our basement bathroom, a new back door, and a new light fixture for our front stoop. Lately I've also been buying some winter clothes, and Christmas gifts.
PREPPING: I'm preparing for Thanksgiving since I will be hosting it this year. I alternate taking turns hosting Thanksgiving and Christmas with my brother and sister-in-law and their kids.
BORROWING: I don't think I'll be borrowing anything anytime soon.
PLANNING: I will be busy planning the menu and everything for Thanksgiving. I'm also making plans for the holidays.
