I love the way that my dog Bosco is posing so nice for me in this photo. For some reason lately he does not like his photo taken, but I got lucky that day.
Thanks everyone and Enjoy!

Week 16 - CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion
Hello Ladies, we are back here again for Makeup Monday and I'm already on Week 16! I'm going to talk about moisturizers today. For years I have been using from Clinique the moisturizer Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion. This is what it looks like:
You may all be familiar with this moisturizing lotion. This lotion is about $26 dollars for a 4.2 fl. oz. bottle.
I changed creams to CeraVe about a year ago and I love it!

You may all be familiar with this moisturizing lotion. This lotion is about $26 dollars for a 4.2 fl. oz. bottle.
I changed creams to CeraVe about a year ago and I love it!
The reason why I changed to CeraVe is because a year ago I was in my dermatologist's office and they had samples of it and I took it home to try. I love this lotion because it glides on easy and it has no perfume smell to it. It is dermatologist recommended and to read more about this amazing lotion you can click HERE. The cost of the CeraVe is about $12.99 for a 12 fl. oz. bottle. You get more for your money and it last longer too. There is no fancy bottle but I like that this also has a pump to easily apply the lotion. You can find CeraVe in Duane Reade, CVS, and Rite Aid stores.
Please try this out and let me know what you think and if you liked it. You will not be disappointed.
I would like to introduce you to two people that love makeup, beauty, and style.
1) Kat from Confessions of the Perfect Mom. I was introduced to her by Laura who blogs at Over the Apple Tree. Kat has a beauty and fashion blog party every Monday called Monday Morning Makeup Madness if any of you are interested in joining.
2) Deborah from The Beautiful Matters has a review on the book Toss the Gloss by Andrew Q. Robinson. She also likes to blog about beauty and style and everything beautiful.
If you get a chance please take a look at their lovely blogs.
Thanks so much for stopping by this week and see you next week for Makeup Monday. If you missed any you can find them HERE.
Thanks everyone and Enjoy!

Now onto my Makeup tip for this week.
Week 15 - Sunscreen Lotion
My makeup tip that I want to share with you this week is sunscreen. Sunscreen is so important to use now that the weather is getting warmer for spring and summer. It's important to wear sunscreen lotion before you apply makeup or you can use foundation, BB, or CC cream which has sunscreen in it already. It's also important to wear sunscreen when going to the beach or doing any outside activity and applying it throughout the day. It is so easy to get a sunburn when you do not use any type of sunscreen lotion.
There are so many different brands of sunscreen available and I like to use Neutrogena and Coopertone. The SPF I usually like to use is SPF 15 to SPF 45 and I use a separate one made especially for faces.
What sunscreen lotion do you like to use?

Hi friends, as many of you know I had been knitting a men's knit scarf for our annual holiday knit/crochet sale at our church. Well I'm happy to say that I finished knitting the scarf last week! I was excited to knit a men's scarf for the first time and I then decided to add some grey yarn into the scarf that my Mom had given to me. I thought that the scarf needed a little bit of color. I had never done color change before with knitting and it wasn't so easy but I managed. I would love to learn how to weave in the ends of the yarn better with color change. Perhaps my Mom can teach me that over the summer.
Here is a photo of the finished men's scarf.
If you missed my post from the beginning stages of knitting the scarf you can see that HERE. It explains the type of yarn I used and the book I was reading The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. Unfortunately I started reading the book but I never got a chance to finish it due to knitting, crocheting, blogging and home life. I used to read so many books and I hope to get back into reading more once the summer comes.
If you missed the middle stages of my progress on the knit scarf you can see that post HERE.

I knit the scarf until it measured 60 inches long. I knitted 12 rows of brown yarn and then added 2 knit rows of grey yarn throughout the scarf. I do hope that this scarf sells at our church sale this fall and if it doesn't than my husband is going to be the lucky one to wear it next winter!

Hello friends! I started crocheting dishcloths using the yarn that I bought last year at the Lion Brand Yarn Studio. In case you missed all the gorgeous kitchen cotton yarn I bought you can see a photo here. I had a fun time crocheting these this week and I will continue to make more of them in different colors.
Here are some of the dishcloths I crocheted in these bright spring colors.
The yarn I used is Lion Brand Yarn in Kitchen Cotton. The light green colored yarn is 170 Kiwi and the turquoise colored yarn is 148 Tropic Breeze. I found the pattern on Pinterest from a blog and to see the pattern click here. I changed the pattern slightly by not putting a border all around the dishcloths.
I love the way these dishcloths came out and I hope I have inspired you to crochet some too!

Do you clean your makeup brushes? It's recommended to give your brushes a good cleaning once a week or at least once a month. Well I'm guilty of not cleaning mine until the other day when I was on Pinterest and I saw a great tutorial on how to keep your brushes clean.
If you keep your brushes clean it will help to keep your skin clear and clean of any dirt, germs, and bacteria that can get into the brushes and then onto your skin. It also helps your makeup brushes last longer.
Baby Shampoo and water are all you need to keep your makeup brushes clean.
Here are the steps to cleaning your makeup brushes:
Step 1: Take a dime size of baby shampoo and put in your hand.
Step 2: Wet the brush and swirl the brush around in your hand cleaning the brush.
Step 3: Rinse the brush off any dirt.
Step 4: Pat dry the brush and form on a towel.

In the tutorial that I used it said to place the brushes on an incline to make the brushes dry faster. As you can see that is what I did.
The brushes were dry the next morning.
I hope you liked this makeup tip I shared with you this week and thanks for stopping by.

With Easter approaching in two weeks I wanted to share with you a fun and easy Easter Bunny Cake! I made this cake last year with my daughter and we had so much fun decorating the cake.
Here is what you will need to make the Bunny Cake:
1 Box of Betty Crocker Super Moist Cake Mix - Yellow
1 can of cake frosting - White
food coloring - a few drops of red and blue (to make purple)
jelly beans
1 3-D Bunny Pan
Make the cake according to the directions on the box. Then add the cake batter to the bunny pan. When cake is done take out of the oven and let cool before decorating the cake with the frosting. Mix in a bowl the cake frosting and a few drops of red and blue food coloring. Spread frosting all over the bunny cake on both sides and then add the jelly beans.
You can add or use whatever you like to decorate the cake. You can even use coconut with green food coloring to make grass all around the bunny.
I hope I have inspired you to try this fun and easy way to make an Easter Bunny Cake.
Thanks for visiting and don't forget to stop by on Monday for my Makeup Monday Series.
