Hello blog friends. I went on a shopping trip to the Dollar Tree store last weekend. I bought so many Christmas items that I thought would be great to use for the holidays. I'd love to share them with you.
I thought these cups were so adorable. I bought four of them to give out with maybe a gift card to Starbucks or Dunkin' Donuts.
I picked up these buffalo plaid kitchen mitts. I'm not sure if I will be using these or giving them out for gifts with a kitchen theme.
I will use the metal plate and paper plates to serve our desserts for Christmas.
I thought this tray looked festive and I'll also use it to serve fruit or dessert for Christmas.
Here is another tray that I thought looked cute.
I've wanted these chargers for a while. I was so happy when I saw these and I picked up ten of them.
I thought this tray looked so cute and I'll use this to make an antipasto platter.
I picked up these napkins and the plastic cutlery. These always come in handy during the holidays for entertaining.
These treat bags are always great for stuffing them with cookies or brownies and giving them out to neighbors or friends.
I decided to change some of my Christmas decorations to red and black buffalo plaid. These come in different styles and I bought 10 ornaments. They will look cute on my Christmas tree.
Look at these cute joy and noel ornaments. These ornaments will be perfect for my tree.
I love this holiday red truck and tree sign.
Here's another cute red truck and tree sign.
I bought these trees to use with my candy land village.
I think this Santa will look cute in my planter on my front stoop.
This Rudolph sign will go next to Santa.
I picked up this tin for holiday cookies.
These plaid bows will be perfect for my holiday decor or on my Christmas tree.
I bought three poinsettia bunches and two bunches of the pinecones. I will use these to make a small holiday floral arrangement.
We like to exchange stocking stuffers for each other in the family. Here are a few things I picked up while waiting in line at the Dollar Tree store.
I thought these items might be good for my guy.
I hope I've given you some ideas for the holidays at the Dollar Tree store.
Have you bought anything from the Dollar Tree store lately?
Hello blog friends. I love entertaining for the holidays and celebrating Thanksgiving. I hosted Thanksgiving dinner last year with my husband's family and I made this sausage cornbread stuffing. I LOVE stuffing and it's my favorite food for celebrating Thanksgiving besides having dessert. I remember growing up my mom always made the best stuffing.
A few years ago a friend from my crochet club gave me this sausage cornbread stuffing recipe. I've made this stuffing for a few years now and everyone seems to like it. It's a little different from traditional stuffing and made with cornbread, corn, and cheddar cheese. This recipe makes enough stuffing for 6 to 8 people.
I also served last year these corn pudding muffins and everyone loved them.
I hope you enjoy these recipes as much as my family!
SAUSAGE CORNBREAD STUFFING
Prep: 15 minutes
Serves: 6 people to 8 people
INGREDIENTS:
1 small onion, chopped
2 celery stalks, chopped
1/4 pound pork sausage
1 1/4 cups water or chicken broth
1/2 cup whole kernel corn
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley or 1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
4 cups Pepperidge Farm Cornbread Classic Stuffing Mix
DIRECTIONS:
Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Cook the sausage in a large skillet over medium heat until browned. Stir often to separate the meat. Pour off any fat. Stir in water, parsley, onion, celery, corn, and cheese in the skillet. Add the stuffing and stir lightly to coat. Spoon the stuffing mixture into a greased 1 1/2 quart casserole dish. Cover the dish with foil. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 25 minutes or until stuffing mixture is heated through.
** NOTES: I used chicken broth and dried parsley flakes for the stuffing. I used a large tin pan to bake the stuffing.

Hello blog friends.
I have my Friday Favorites November Edition:
1. What I'm Watching Lately
Emily in Paris
I finished watching Emily in Paris on Netflix. It's about Emily who moves to Paris for a job at a marketing firm. While working there, Emily gives the firm an American perspective on things. Emily is trying to juggle work, friends, and romance. I liked the show and Emily's colorful fashion style and the scenes that take place in Paris. If you've seen Emily in Paris, did you like it?
Schitt's Creek
Mr. JCL and I started watching this series on Netflix and are enjoying it. It's about a rich family that goes broke and they leave their pampered lives to live in a small town. We both have a good laugh and I'm sure you'll like this series if you haven't seen it.
Superstore - Season 6
I love this show and I watch it every Thursday night. It's a comedy about a group of employees that work together in a superstore called Cloud9. I love the funny way they all interact together and I always have a good laugh.
2. Hallmark Christmas Movies
I love watching the Hallmark Christmas movies during the holiday season. Here is the Movie Guide - Countdown to Christmas 2020.
3. Ulta Beauty
I bought a few things online at Ulta Beauty and I'd love to share them with you. They also had free shipping on your order Wednesday, so I started my Christmas shopping. If you have anyone on your holiday gift list that likes beauty items be on the lookout for sales.
At my nail salon, they use this Seche dry fast top coat on my nails. I decided to buy a bottle for when I do a manicure at home. This works great and dries my nails in 15 minutes. Have you tried this fast dry top coat?
I bought Maybelline brow extensions for my eyebrows. I love the way this fills in my brows. I bought mine in the color 250 Blonde.
I bought this L'Oreal voluminous mascara in the color Cobalt Blue. My daughter used this blue mascara and I liked the way it looked on her eye lashes. It gives your eyes a pop of color and it's something fun and different to use.
4. Another Salad
We had salads again from Just Salad. I had their Chicken Caesar salad which is my favorite. Do you have a favorite salad?
5. Bosco's Halloween Costume
The kids on my block had a Halloween Parade. We dressed Bosco up in his Pumpkin costume and he joined in with the kids. I gave the kids chocolate candy and I now have a big bowl leftover from Halloween. What do you do with leftover candy?
6. Holiday Link-Ups
Tanya from the blog The Other Side Of The Road is having a few holiday link-ups that you might like. I participated in her Amazon Prime November link up for the first time HERE.
Thanks for stopping by and have a Happy Friday and weekend.

Hello blog friends. I am constantly running out of ideas of what to cook for dinner. I stumbled upon this slow cooker Olive Garden Chicken Pasta recipe on the blog Penny's Passion. Penny made this for her family and she said it was a winner. Well, that convinced me to make it too. Below is what my version looked like. It tasted so good and it was so easy to make. Here are the details:
WHAT I USED:
chicken cutlets
Wishbone Italian dressing
pepper
rotini pasta
cottage cheese
Pecorino Romano cheese
4 cups of spinach
I cooked mine in the crockpot on HIGH for 4 hours.
Look for the recipe below.
SLOW COOKER OLIVE GARDEN CHICKEN PASTA
Recipe Adapted by Penny's Passion
INGREDIENTS:
2 pounds of boneless, skinless chicken breasts
16 oz. Olive Garden Italian Dressing (can be made with other Italian dressing)
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese (divided)
1/4 tsp. black pepper
8 oz. cream cheese
16 oz. penne pasta
DIRECTIONS:
Add the chicken breasts to the slow cooker. I cut mine in half because they were pretty large (the author of recipe). Pour the Olive Garden Italian dressing over the top. Sprinkle 1/4 cup of the grated parmesan cheese and pepper the mixture. Cut cream cheese into several pieces and place them on top. Cook on HIGH for 4 hours or LOW for 5-6 hours. When cooking time is complete, shred the chicken and place it back in the crockpot. Cook the pasta on the stovetop as directed on the package. Drain the pasta and add it to the crockpot with the chicken mixture and stir to combine. Sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup of parmesan cheese over the top.
WHAT I CHANGED IN THE RECIPE:
I used: Wishbone Italian Dressing
I used: Pecorino Romano grated cheese
I used: 8 oz. of cottage cheese
I used: 16 oz. Rotini pasta
I used: 4 cups of spinach
** With making these changes to the recipe it was a winner and tasted delicious. I had a half-pound leftover and I put it into a container for the freezer. We will be able to have this for dinner another night.

Hello blog friends. Mr. JCL and I went shopping at Costco on Friday night. We were lucky as we got a spot to park the car even though it looked like the lot was full. I got some great buys and I thought I would share them with you.
My husband and I love this Caesar salad and it's one of our favorites. It's a big salad that we usually split between the two of us and we were able to have it two times. The price is $7.50 and this kit comes with everything you need to make a salad.
Mr. JCL ordered this huge meat pack online from Costco. It's from Chicago Steak Company and the price is $139.99. The pack consists of Angus beef steaks, filet mignons, (eight steaks altogether), and eight hamburger patties all frozen. I put all the meat in the freezer. We had two hamburgers on Saturday night for dinner that were delicious tasting even without a bun. We felt like we were eating in a steak house. This meat will last us a while since I'm cooking a lot at home. This would even make a great holiday gift for any meat lover.
This is another item that we ordered online. We have protein shakes every morning for breakfast. We like to add in some powdered matcha tea to make the shake. The container holds 16 ounces and is $34.99.
We needed more Starbucks coffee beans. This bag holds 2.5 pounds of whole beans and it costs $16.99. I brought the bag to my local Starbucks and they ground the bag for free. I always order a drink whenever I do this.
Lately, Costco has had such nice clothes. I always check out that area whenever I am there. I found this thermal waffle top and I bought mine in a cranberry color and it was only $16.99
I love to wear these tops under my sweaters and sweatshirts during the fall and winter months. This is a 32-degree ladies heat tee and it was on sale for $12.99 for two shirts in the pack.
I love Costco's workout pants. I grabbed these Mondetta Ladies Brushed Jacquard Leggings for $16.99. I love that they have pockets on the side to keep my phone. The material is a little bit thicker and will be great for doing my online Zumba and yoga classes.
I grabbed these blue surgical face masks that were only $9.99 for 50 disposable masks. I like to wear these when I go to church since it's easier for me to breathe. I like wearing my cloth masks when I'm walking Bosco or doing errands.
We've never used these vitamins before but Mr. JCL picked them up. We will try these out and they were on sale for $24.99 for 300 soft gels.
I needed a new cutting board as mine was shot. These two boards come in the pack and were only $12.99. They work great and you don't even see any cut marks on the board. These would make a great holiday gift for any cook.
Costco and a lot of stores are going to get super busy now for the holidays. It's a good idea if you see something start stocking up now on items for the holidays. I hope you've enjoyed some of the great buys I purchased at Costco.
HAPPY SHOPPING!
