I'm joining Holly and Patty for their Monthly Musings.
We will be answering questions on the topic: Summer-Fun Vacations, Trips and Adventures.
Here are the questions:
1. Favorite Vacation Destinations? My favorite vacation destinations are the Bahamas and we stay at the Atlantis. We also love going to the Jersey Shore.
2. Best Packing Tips? I like using packing cubes to pack my clothes in a suitcase. I bought many years ago these packing cubes on Amazon.
3. Road Trips or Fly? I like both types of vacations.
4. Favorite Vacation Memory as a Child? We used to go camping at the beach when we were little with our cousins. We would go swimming every day and then in the evening, we toast would marshmallows. Our families slept in tents and sleeping bags. We all had so much fun on those vacations.
5. Ocean, Lake, or Mountains? I would say ocean vacation be it the Jersey Shore or the Hamptons.
6. Campout or Indoor Grill? I would love a campout at the beach.
7. Favorite Summer Cocktail or Mocktail? My favorite summer cocktail is an Aperol Spritz.
8. Most Amazing Travel Upgrade Story? Many years ago when we were first married we took a trip to Japan and we were upgraded to Business Class. It was nice to have legroom and all of the food was served on china. It made the long flight enjoyable.
9. Ice Cream or Popsicle? I love ice cream.
10. Do You Camp? No. I only went camping at the beach when I was little. I don't like anything creepy crawly and I don't like sleeping in a sleeping bag.

We love the Bahamas too and The Atlantis is so beautiful- definitely agree with you there Julie! I am hoping to fly first class/business class once in my life- ha!

DeleteI feel the same way about camping!! I've always wanted to stay at the Atlantis resort; we saw in on our honeymoon not having any idea what it was since it was fairly new but we have yet to make it back to the Bahamas.

ReplyDeleteI loved reading all of your answers. The beach camping trip as a kid sounded so sweet!! I love my packing cubes and can't live without them now. Not much of a camper but we used to stay in our grandparents motor home at a beach campground in the summers.
ReplyDeleteSuch great answers. I am not a camper as an adult either. I loved it as a kiddo but not now. I like hotels or AirBnB's!!!! I use the packing cubes too they work so great to keep thing organized and packing is so much easier. Happy Thursday sweet friend. Hugs. Kris

DeleteMy late beloved and I went to the Bahamas during Christmas break the first year that I was teaching. It was so fun! I never camped as a child but did after we were married. It was fun reading your answers, Julie.

ReplyDeleteI always say summer is the best season of the year, and childhood is the best season of life! This summer my boys and I are spending lots of time with the family, we go to the lake and to the swim pool, we take long evening walks by the river, we enjoy time playing with our pup Teddy! I want my children to create all these wonderful memories!

You certainly got lucky on that trip to Japan! I have never been to the Bahamas since it is not a short or direct flight from Texas. I bet it is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteNever been upgraded on a flight...did get upgraded at the Plaza Hotel in NYC on our anniversary! Love your answers...I am a packing cube fan, too. And a big NO to camping...I joke that the closest I come to camping is staying in an EconoLodge!!!
ReplyDeleteWe got upgraded on our flight to Europe before the pandemic and it made such a difference - the chairs were so comfortable! didn't get upgraded on the flight back though, but thankfully we slept for most of it haha. Beach vacations are my favourite too.
