Hello friends and happy July.

I hope you all had a nice weekend and enjoyed celebrating the 4th of July.

I'm linking up with Jennifer at Overflowing With Thankfulness for what I'm currently loving, savoring, celebrating, remembering, and trying.

This link-up is held on the first Wednesday of each month.

LOVING:  We took a day trip a few weeks ago to Greenport, LI.  We love taking day trips to get out of the city.  It was a beautiful summer day and we enjoyed walking along the street, window shopping.  We had brunch at a new to us restaurant called Alpina.  The food was delicious tasting and we enjoyed our cocktails.  I had french toast with bacon, oranges, and maple syrup and I loved my espresso martini.  My husband enjoyed his dish (I forgot what he ordered) and he had a cocktail in a cute bear jar.

SAVORING:  I am savoring the Thai food we had at a restaurant called Sage.  My husband and I enjoyed our delicious food.  I love this restaurant and it's my third time eating there.  Below you can see our food.  We enjoyed dumplings, steak and fries, and mixed seafood and vegetables.  We both had to drink Singha Thai beer.

CELEBRATING:  We just got done celebrating the 4th of July.  We had a bbq at home and then we watched the fire works on TV.

REMEMBERING:  I am remembering last year how we enjoyed going to the beach.  I'm looking forward to spending July and August at the beach.  We like getting to the beach in the morning.  I always pack sandwiches for lunch, fruit, chips, and a lot of drinks.  I love spending the day swimming and reading magazines or books.

TRYING:  We are trying to take day trips to different places this summer.  We enjoyed our recent day trip to Greenport, LI.

  3. I just love Greenport. I've only been once and would love to go again. I've got to think about some day trips to take - we're fairly close to the Jersey shore - if only the parking wasn't so difficult, I'd go often!

  7. Greenport is one of my all time favorite towns. We used to eat at Claudio's all the time, but in recent years we've tried brunch places instead. This one looks great! I hope you get to the beach soon, too, but watch out for the sharks! Have you heard about all the attacks? It's crazy!! Be safe!!
