Happy St. Patrick's Day 2020

March 17, 2020

Hello blog friends.

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY! 🍀

Today I'm sharing with you a St. Patrick's Day memory.

I happened to be visiting Niagara Falls, Canada a few years ago with Mr. JCL celebrating St. Patrick's Day.

We had a nice time visiting in March.  The weather was cold and snowy but we had beautiful views of Niagara Falls.

We had dinner at a local Irish pub and we had our traditional dinner along with green beer.

I love looking back and remembering the fun time we had celebrating St. Patrick's Day together.

🍀

I made this crochet four-leaf clover a few years ago.  Below is the pattern to crochet one.

Every year it's a tradition for me to bake some Irish Soda Bread.  Below is the recipe.

UPDATE:  It's so sad with the coronavirus spreading here in our area.  Due to this happening, we will not have our usual St. Patrick's Day parade.  The parade will be postponed until September.  We need to be careful and safe with this virus situation.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

  1. Julie, such a lovely memory. Right now, we need to remember those special memories, because we are not sure of what is to come. Your Irish soda bread looks wonderful. Very cute clover you made. Stay safe and healthy. Xo

  2. We are in self-isolation here for a week now. A situation I believe no one has been before and feels quite strange with the empty streets. It is a little bit scary and worrying, but we must endure. Stay safe! Happy St.Patty!

  3. The St. Patrick’s Day parade was cancelled in Dallas, too. I’m still going to have a special meal tonight and I did have three friends over for a St. Paddy’s lunch yesterday. Stay safe and healthy, Julie! 💚☘️💚

  5. What wonderful memories you had celebrating St. Paddy's day. This is the first time I've heard about green beer. Maybe I need to try it some time. Your soda bread looks yummy and your four leaf clover is too cute. Stay safe Julie. Nice catching up with your wonderful post!
