Here you can see Queen Elizabeth's Foot Guards. Windsor Castle is the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world and it's the official residence of Queen Elizabeth and the royal family.
We stopped at the pub in the white building to have a Shandy and drinks to refresh ourselves before our next destination. A Shandy is beer with lemonade in it and for the recipe and post you can find it HERE.
We drove to Henley-On-Thames and had lunch at a pub called The Angel. This was our view of the water, boats, ducks, and birds.
There were tables set up in the middle of the street selling items. Here you can see a cheesemonger with his cheese that he was selling. Our friend Joe bought some cheese to take home to his Mom and Dad.
After walking around the town we set out to see Oxford University.
We then set out for Golders Green, which is a short drive outside of London to see Joe's Mom and Dad for tea and cookies.
It was a wonderful day sightseeing and I think that this was my favorite day of our trip in London.
I want to welcome to my blog all my new followers. Thanks, I hope you enjoy and I love all of your sweet comments.
Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend.

Now Julie, is that a corgi on the grass? In which case a lady with a crown would probably be looking for it! Great photos of a place that I haven't been to yet - No, never been to Windsor funnily enough! I hope you are still enjoying the shandy! Take care my lovely. Chel x
ReplyDeleteHi Chel, I can't believe you haven't been there yet! You will have to see it so you can take a lot of pictures with that nice camera that you have. Have a great weekend.
