Last summer my friend Eve made this fig recipe for a party that I went to and it was so good and it's easy to make. This would make a great appetizer for any dinner party you are hosting and your guests will love it. Enjoy!
Here are the ingredients that you will need - figs, blue cheese and honey.
Summer Fig Recipe
Ingredients:
figs, sliced in half
blue cheese, crumbled
honey, a few drops
Directions:
Take your figs and slice them in half. Take blue cheese and crumble on top of each fig half. Take honey and drizzle a few drops on top of the figs.

So simple yet such an elegant dish! :) I love figs any way they're prepared, but I especially love them like this: with a bit of blue cheese & a bit of honey! Fine dining at home! Thank you so much for linking up with me this week at Tasty Tuesdays! I’ve pinned this & shared it with my followers! Please be sure to stop back by the party and check out some of the other links!
ReplyDeleteThis is too easy to not try! I have never tried these flavors together - but I like them all individually, so I should give it a go. :) Pinning right now!
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up to Tasty Tuesdays this past week - hope to see you again!
Oh, I have heard of this, but have never tried it. Don't think I've actually eaten a fig before. I must try! Thanks for sharing with SYC.

Buying figs at a local mkt in the morning. Planning to try this. I have goat cheese instead of blue cheese...what do you think?
ReplyDeleteHi Laura, I think goat cheese should be fine to use. I hope you enjoy it. I never liked figs until I tried this combo.
ReplyDeleteHi Julie...I don't think I've ever had figs before, I think they are kind of exotic, lol..I will give them a try for sure now that you have made them more approachable! Thanks for sharing this recipe, I came over to visit you from Natasha in Oz party

This looks so yummy! I have been wanting to cook with figs for a while now but haven't yet. I love the cheese addition. I wonder how goat cheese would taste with the figs instead of blue cheese? hmmm, think I'll have to try it.
