Books I've Read in 2025

January 8, 2026

Hello friends.  I thought it would be fun to look back at all of the books I've read in 2025.

I didn't realize it, but the last time I shared the books I read was back in July of 2025 here.  I will try to keep track and do a blog post for each month of the books I've read.

HERE IS A LIST OF THE BOOKS I'VE READ FOR 2025:

  • Christmas Presents by Lisa Unger
  • After I Do by Taylor Jenkins Reid
  • The Stolen Queen by Fiona Davis
  • Lies and Weddings by Kevin Kwan
  • Things We Left Behind by Lucy Score
  • Just For The Summer by Abbey Jimenez
  • The Housemaid's Secret by Freida McFadden
  • The Wedding People by Alison Espach
  • Vera Wongs Guide to Snooping on a Dead Man by Jesse Q. Sutanto
  • The Pumpkin Spice Cafe by Laurie Gilmore
  • Summer Sisters by Judy Blume
  • Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reid
  • My Friends by Fredrick Backman
  • The Man Who Died Twice by Richard Osman - A Thursday Murder Club Mystery - Book 2
  • Long Island by Colm Toibin
  • She Didn't See It Coming by Shari Lapena

I was down with reading books for 2025 and I only read 16 books.  I am hoping to read more books this year.  I look at it this way, at least I'm dedicating some time to read books that I enjoy and it's not a competition!

My Favorite Book of 2025:  My Friends by Fredrick Backman

Currently January 2026

January 7, 2026

Hello friends and happy new year friends!

I'm joining Amy from the blog, Coffee and Cocktails at the Casa, for her Currently link-up.  It's held on the first Wednesday of each month.  This month we are sharing what we are loving, resolving, planning, eating/drinking, and watching/reading.

LOVING:  I loved the holidays and spending Christmas with family.  I enjoyed getting together with friends for their annual holiday party.  It was fun going out to lunch with my friends and having dinner out with my husband and daughter to celebrate my birthday.  We had a quiet New Year's Eve at home.  My husband and I had take-out Chinese food and then we watched the ball drop on TV.  Now that the holidays are over, I'm looking forward to getting the house organized and putting away our Christmas decorations.

RESOLVING:  I'm resolving to eat healthier now that the holidays are over.  I want to eat fewer sweets, as I ate a lot of cookies and cake over the holidays.

PLANNING:  I'm planning on getting back to a regular routine at my gym.  I started the new year off by going to the gym on New Year's day!  I'm in the second row to the right.

EATING/DRINKING:  I want to eat healthier and try not to eat unhealthy snacks.  I am trying to drink more protein shakes in the morning for breakfast.  I'll be making soup and more protein meals for dinner.

WATCHING/READING:  I put reading books on hold for December.  I want to get back into reading more books each month now that the holidays are over.

What I've been watching and seen lately:

  • Jay Kelly
  • Man on the Inside
  • Emily in Paris
  • Only Murders in the Building
  • The Studio
  • Severence
  • Pluribus
  • Stranger Things
  • Loot

On New Year's day we went to the movies to see The Housemaid.  I enjoyed this thriller and I also read the book by Freida McFadden.

What have you been up to, and what's currently new with you?

Merry Christmas 2025

December 21, 2025

Hello blog friends.  Happy first day of winter!  ⛄ ❆

This will be my last post for 2025, with only a few days left until Christmas.

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season.  I went into the city on Friday afternoon to do some Christmas shopping with my daughter.  We had a great time, and then we stopped by to see the Christmas tree in Rockefeller Center.

The Christmas tree looked so big and beautiful.  I always enjoy seeing the tree for the holidays.

Thanks for all your visits throughout the year.  I wish all of you a Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year.

See you all in the new year 2026!

This or That Christmas Edition 2025

December 7, 2025

Hello blog friends.  I hope you are all enjoying the holiday season.💚💚💚

I thought it would be fun to do a This or That Christmas Edition 2025.

HERE ARE THE QUESTIONS:

🌲

🌲

🌲

MY ANSWERS:

1)  Egg Nog or Hot Cocoa - I used to love egg nog, but now I enjoy a cup of hot cocoa for the holidays.

2)  Candy Canes or Fudge - I love candy canes, and I will sometimes put a candy cane on a present.  I like them hanging on the Christmas tree.  I remember giving candy canes for my daughter to give out in school when she was little.

3)  Gold or Silver - I tend to like gold better than silver, but I like both colors for the holidays.

4)  Cookies or Cake - I love both, but tend to like Christmas cookies.  My sister-in-law makes us a tray of Christmas cookies each year that are delicious tasting and look so pretty.

5)  White Lights or Colored Lights - I usually have colored lights on my tree.  I can change the color of my Christmas lights on the tree to white or colored.  Some days I will pick the white lights, which is a fun change.

6)  Turkey or Ham - I love a roasted ham, but I haven't made one in years since my husband and daughter don't like it that much.  I remember my mom would always make the best roast ham.
🌲

You can play along and leave your answers in the comment section.

I hope you all enjoy the holiday season.💚🌲

Currently - December 2025

Happy December friends! 🎄

I'm joining Jenn for her Currently link-up.  It's held on the first Wednesday of each month and lasts about two weeks. This month, we are sharing what we are loving, hoping, doing, wearing, and seeing.

LOVING:  We just celebrated Thanksgiving at my house with family.  It was fun catching up with everyone and eating a lot of good food.  What I'm loving right now is getting everything ready for Christmas.  I'm also love watching the Christmas movies on TV.

HOPING:  I'm hoping to enjoy the holiday season, celebrating with my friends and family.  It's a fun time of year, and I love seeing friends that I haven't seen in a while.  I'm hoping for a healthy and happy new year in 2026.

DOING:  I'm working on my holiday shopping, wrapping presents, Christmas cards, and decorating my house for the holidays.

WEARING:  I love wearing my holiday sweaters to Christmas gatherings and parties.

SEEING:  I love looking at the holiday lights and decorations on the houses in my neighborhood.  People travel on buses from the city to see these beautiful decorated homes.

Wishing everyone a happy December and a wonderful holiday season!💚🌲
