Let's Visit the Macy's Flower Show 2021

June 21, 2021

Every year Macy's has a two-week exhibition of exotic flowers and plants that are usually held at the beginning of May.  They have plants and flowers that are showcased from around the world to transform and decorate Macy's Herald Square store in New York City.

Unfortunately, Macy's did not have a flower show last year due to Covid-19.  I always look forward to attending the flower show each spring.  You can read about my visits to the show here and here

This year's theme was called A Celebration of Fortitude.  I love visiting the show and I did not want to miss out on it this year.

When I arrived first thing in the morning, the outside of Macy's was decorated with beautiful pink flowers.

I enjoyed wandering around the first floor looking at all of the floral displays.

I enjoyed looking at this pretty butterfly display with different flowers.

On the sides of the store located on the second floor, you could look down and see the flower displays.

My favorite part of the flower show is looking at the mannequins and the pretty dresses.  The girls are located on the first floor.

I went back up to the second floor to see more floral displays.

I had to get a better look at the floral butterfly display.  The flowers looked so pretty but they were all faux flowers.

The flowers and plants seen below the butterfly were real.

I enjoyed looking at all the plants and floral displays and after that, I decided to do some shopping.

I knew I wanted to look at the Adidas superstar sneakers.  The shoe department did not have my size sneaker and suggested that I look in the children's shoe department.  I was happy that I found the sneakers in my size!

I had a great time at the flower show and shopping in Macy's.  I look forward to visiting the show in the spring of 2022.

Have you ever visited the Macy's Flower Show?

  1. This is just beautiful Julie and I bet the store smelled so great with all the flowers. How pretty. I wish our Macy's store would do something like this on State street in Chicago. They do a big display at Christmas but this would be nice for Spring and Summer. Glad you could find your sneakers in your size. Have a great week ahead. xoxo Kris

  4. OMG, Julie! Thanks for sharing such a beautiful flower display at Macy's! It was as if I was there strolling along with you! You mentioned some of the displays were artificial and others, live. Were the ones outside the store, on the building, real? They looked gorgeous! I also loved the dresses on the mannequins! Stunning!

  6. Oh, Julie, be still my florist's heart. How much fun is that to be so surrounded with creativity. My happiest job was to do displays for huge stores...with flowers, though artificial...it was so much fun to do explosions of color! HUGS, loved this post! Sandi

  9. Oh Julie, I'm glad the flower show is back! I've never been, but your pictures bring back so memories. I used to spend a lot of time shopping in that Macy's waiting for my train when I was working in the city...a million years ago! Ps...cute sneakers! We do the same with the children's sizes. Great tip! xo
