Hello blog friends.
My husband and I had dinner out in New York City back in March. It was a rainy night but that didn't stop us from going out to dinner at our favorite Japanese restaurant Nobu Downtown. Nobu is located downtown in the heart of Manhattan's Financial District.
We passed the Oculus which is the World Trade Center transportation hub and a shopping mall.
It was wonderful to be out that evening because we had the whole restaurant to ourselves. It wasn't crowded due to the weather and it was when the restaurants were first opening up and starting to occupy at 50%.
To see the menu we could look at the code with our phones.
I had a delicious tasting Cosmopolitan martini and my husband had a special cucumber martini (photo not shown).
We both enjoyed snacking on the Edamame with our drinks.
The Yellowtail Jalapeno is one of our favorite dishes.
We loved the Lobster Shitake Salad with Spicy Lemon Dressing.
The Rock Shrimp Tempura is a favorite dish we both love.
We enjoyed the Black Cod with Miso.
My husband enjoyed his Toro.
We also had two Tacos that I forgot to photograph.
Even though it was a rainy night, we both enjoyed going out to dinner in the city.
Have you been out to any favorite restaurants lately?
That looked like such a fun date night. It's nice to get out to our favorite restaurants again! Their presentation is amazing!
ReplyDeleteWow, Julie! What exquisite presentation it was of the dishes that you ordered and enjoyed. I’m so happy that you and your hubby had a great evening in NYC!

DeleteOh my gosh what a beautiful building and what beautiful food. The presentation is gorgeous. Glad you could have a nice time in New York. I need to come there soon. It is on my bucket list. Happy Monday. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteI think the rain adds to the beauty of the city! What a beautiful night out! And the food looks amazing! We haven't eaten at a restaurant but we got take out from a new Mexican rest and it was really good!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like a fantastic date night! Lovely looking food you had there!
ReplyDeleteOh, Julie...never heard of this place but putting it my phone so we can visit when we go to NYC for our anniversary in January! I love a Cosmo and that looked amazing...and the food! We have been to some of our favorite places, but some have limited hours due to staffing issues. Hard to get a reservation or they won't take reservations. We tried one of our favorite places after church for brunch...1 hour and 15 minute wait!!! Oh well...we went someplace else and figured we should be happy that so many people are getting out and supporting these places. Have a great week !
ReplyDeleteThis restaurant is one of our favorites Ann. It was nice to go out to eat in city without a lot of crowds. I think it will start to get easier to dine restaurants. Thanks for the blog visit and enjoy your week Ann.

Oh wow, Julie, what an amazing meal! Thank you for the glimpse of New York and of Nobu! I have been to a Nobu in London, but we haven't been to New York in about 6 years. Hopefully we can fix that in a little while! Your food all looked amazing - as did that lovely Cosmo martini! Thank you for sharing and for being a part of the Hearth and Soul Link Party. Have a wonderful weekend!
