Oyster Sauce Baked Salmon

June 7, 2021

I've been making baked salmon for dinner at least once a week since we're trying to eat healthy meals.  This baked salmon is so quick and easy to make and it's the perfect weeknight meal.

I made our baked salmon with roasted brussels sprouts on the side.  You can make any vegetable you like for this meal.

I first discovered oyster sauce last year when my daughter had her friend from college over.  I was happy with the idea that they wanted to cook our dinner.  They made shrimp with oyster and teriyaki sauce, vegetables, rice, and salad.  They made the most delicious tasting meal!

I usually buy our salmon at Costco.  The salmon comes in a large piece.  I will cut the salmon up into smaller pieces and the rest of the salmon is wrapped and put in the freezer.  The salmon can easily be defrosted for a meal.  I also purchased the oyster sauce at Costco a few months ago.  I'm not sure if they still carry this oyster sauce.

Below you can see how I prepared the salmon pieces before they were cooked in the oven.

BAKED SALMON WITH OYSTER SAUCE

INGREDIENTS:

salmon pieces
lemon juice
olive oil
oyster sauce
pepper to taste

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.  Spray a sheet pan with cooking spray and add your salmon pieces to the pan.  Drizzle olive oil, lemon juice, and pepper to taste, to the salmon pieces.  Next spread a teaspoon of oyster sauce to the top of the salmon pieces.  Cook the salmon in the oven for about 25 to 30 minutes.  You can check the salmon after 25 minutes to see if it's done cooking.

NOTE:  You can look for the oyster sauce in your grocery store, Costco, or on Amazon.  Soon it'll be grilling season and we look forward to making salmon on the grill.

**  If you like brussels sprouts then you will love this easy-to-make recipe.
