Now we are onto the second level; the sides of Macy's, and from where we were standing you could look down and get a great view of the flower show.
Below, I got a closeup shot of different plants located from the Southwest part of the US. If you look closely you can see many cactus plants.
Below are some shots I took of Girl Scouts Badges made up of flowers.
Here is another shot looking down at the flowers and the makeup area (which I love).
We did a little bit of shopping and looking around in the handbags section. Look more florals!
We next went to different floors looking at the clothes. I just had to share with you these interesting manikins. Look at the denim outfits and their hairstyles. I especial like the interesting hairstyle on the manikin sitting down.
I noticed the fashions that are popular this spring season are denim, blue, white, and black. I also saw many different shades of coral and orange. There were tops and dresses in stripes and florals.
After some retail shopping we decided to have lunch on the 8th floor of Macy's at Au Bon Pain. It is a bakery that sells fresh baked bread, croissants, muffins, and scones. They also sell sandwiches, wraps, salad, and soup. My friend and I both decided to have sandwiches, and I had an avocado BLT that was delicious.
Now that I have seen so many beautiful flowers, I will be ready to plant different flower combinations in May. It's been too cold here for me to do any gardening and hopefully May will be a warmer month. LOL!
Thanks everyone for coming along with me as I shared the tour of the Macy's Flower Show. This is such a spectacular event and I hope I may have inspired you to visit it next spring.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend and a Happy Mother's Day!

ReplyDeleteWhat a treat to see the spectacular displays of beautiful flowers in all three posts! I would have love to seen them in person! My daughter and I were in NYC and Macy's two weeks after the show, what a shame! Hope you're having a great week! ~Rhonda
ReplyDeleteEye candy for sure Julie!! And some Dooney and Bourke purses!! Flowers and purses, two of my favorite things.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing part 3 of the flower show. I think those Girl Scout badge creations are amazing. I love Au Bon Pain! That's so cool you have one in Macy's! I usually only get to go there when we're in an airport or a big city. I have a hard time deciding what to get, the food is so good!

ReplyDeleteIt is a cloudy day today and it's perfect for working in the garden. So I'm off to do yard work.
thanks again Julie, for the wonderful tour - I loved it all. Wish Macy's would do that here.
