Hello, I hope you all enjoyed the weekend. Recently I shared with you a recipe for meatloaf HERE. Well, this week I want to share with you the perfect baked potato recipe. Everyone loves a baked potato and here is a simple recipe that will go with any dish for dinner or for the holidays. You can even make a baked potato for lunch and add sour cream and chives, or cheese and bacon bits.
Perfect Baked Potato Recipe
Ingredients:
baking potatoes (I used Russet Potatoes)
olive oil, vegetable oil or butter
coarse sea salt or sea salt
Preparation:
Adjust rack in oven to middle position and preheat oven to 350 degrees. Rinse and scrub potatoes under cold running water. Rub the outside of potato with olive oil. Roll the potatoes in sea salt. Place on baking sheet and bake for 60 minutes.
Thanks everyone and enjoy.
Julie
We love baked potatoes. I've gotten in the habit of throwing mine in the crock pot though. Good food for these cold days.
ReplyDeleteSomeone else just shared a simple idea of boring a hole in a raw potato and stuffing it with a hotdog and then baking it in the coals of a campfire. I'm not crazy about hotdogs, but I thought it was a neat trick ;) Wendy x

That recipe sounds delicious, maybe we can try it for Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteI always use Russets too. I have had coarse salt on them when we're out, but never made them like that at home. I'll have to give it a whirl next time around!
ReplyDeleteYum! I love sea salt on the skins of a baked potato. that's why I love Red Lobsters potatoes so much! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
