Books I've Read in 2025

January 8, 2026

Hello friends.  I thought it would be fun to look back at all of the books I've read in 2025.

I didn't realize it, but the last time I shared the books I read was back in July of 2025 here.  I will try to keep track and do a blog post for each month of the books I've read.

HERE IS A LIST OF THE BOOKS I'VE READ FOR 2025:

  • Christmas Presents by Lisa Unger
  • After I Do by Taylor Jenkins Reid
  • The Stolen Queen by Fiona Davis
  • Lies and Weddings by Kevin Kwan
  • Things We Left Behind by Lucy Score
  • Just For The Summer by Abbey Jimenez
  • The Housemaid's Secret by Freida McFadden
  • The Wedding People by Alison Espach
  • Vera Wongs Guide to Snooping on a Dead Man by Jesse Q. Sutanto
  • The Pumpkin Spice Cafe by Laurie Gilmore
  • Summer Sisters by Judy Blume
  • Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reid
  • My Friends by Fredrick Backman
  • The Man Who Died Twice by Richard Osman - A Thursday Murder Club Mystery - Book 2
  • Long Island by Colm Toibin
  • She Didn't See It Coming by Shari Lapena

I was down with reading books for 2025 and I only read 16 books.  I am hoping to read more books this year.  I look at it this way, at least I'm dedicating some time to read books that I enjoy and it's not a competition!

My Favorite Book of 2025:  My Friends by Fredrick Backman

If you have book recommendations, please let me know.

I will share this post at the monthly book link-up party Share Your Shelf.  It's held on the first Thursday of each month.

  1. You're right -- it's not a competition. But I always track and I always feel better if I've read more. On the other hand, sometimes things step in that slow it down -- travel, family visits, illness, real life. I say 16 is pretty darned good!

  2. It's definitely not a competition. I kept a list of what I read this year too and just dedicating the time to reading has helped me a lot! I read some from your list and know I've gotten some recs from you too. Happy reading in 2026!
