Hello friends. It's been a while since I've shared the books I've read. I didn't realize it's been since the spring. I usually use my Libby app and read books from the library on my Kindle app, or borrow my husband's Kindle to read books.
HERE IS A LIST OF BOOKS I'VE READ SINCE MAY 2023:
1) The Chelsea Girls by Fiona Davis - I love reading books by Fiona Davis. Each book takes place in New York City and it goes back and forth from the past and to the present. This book was good but my least favorite of all of the books I've read by this author.
2) The Paris Apartment by Lucy Foley - I enjoyed this thriller/mystery. This book kept me on my toes and I couldn't put it down.
3) November 9 by Colleen Hoover - I wanted to read another Colleen Hoover book after reading Verity which was a crazy story and I didn't like the ending of the book. I enjoyed reading this book, but I'm still not sure if I will be reading any more of Colleen Hoover's books in the future.
5) Hotel Nantuket by Elin Hilderbrand - I love reading books by this author. This was the perfect book to read this summer and it takes place in Nantuket, Massachusets.
6) Nightwork by Nora Roberts - This was a different book than I'm used to reading and I enjoyed it. I used to read Nora Robert's book all the time. This book is filled with sadness, happiness, scary, and it has a wonderful cast of characters.
7) Feels Like Falling by Kristy Woodson Harvey - I've read a few books by this author and I loved this story and the characters. This book had me laughing at times.
8) Something in the Water by Catherine Steadman - I liked this thriller and it kept me on my toes. I couldn't put this down and it was the perfect beach read.
9) Thrill by Jackie Collins - I found this book in our neighborhood's little free library. It was fun to read while I was on vacation this summer at the beach on the Jersey Shore.
10) Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus - I waited a few months to read this book and I'm glad I did. I loved this story! It's also been made into a series on Apple TV.
11) In a New York Minute - Kate Spencer - I found this book to be ok but a bit long. It takes place in New York City so it was nice to see all of the places they mention in the book.
What book are you reading and do you have any recommendations?

These all sound like great reads. Thanks for sharing them and your thoughts on each one. Happy Tuesday. Hugs. Kris
ReplyDeleteI've read several of these and enjoyed. I didn't finish Lessons in Chemistry, and really want to give it another try. I just finished None of this is True and couldn't put it down!
ReplyDeleteI didn't like the ending of Verity either. You know I read the other Paris Apartment which was good. I still have to read the one you mentioned. I just finished Romantic Comedy and Remarkably Bright Creatures and loved them both! I'm reading The Light Pirate now.
ReplyDeleteI am needing some new books to add to my list, so thanks for this!
ReplyDeletePam, I hope you find a new book to read.
DeleteYour book reads sound lovely. Maybe this winter, I can settle and read a book. Happy week.
ReplyDeleteI've read and enjoyed many of these! I thought Nightwork was quite a different Nora Roberts book than usual and I really enjoyed it a lot. Hideaway was another really good one she wrote (I tend to like her non-magic books best).
ReplyDeleteJoanne, I will have to look up the book Hideaway.
DeleteI haven't read any of those Julie, I'll have to look some of them up. I've been reading mostly on my kindle just very easy reading, I tend to try one of the free kindle books and if I like it read the next in the series I have just finished reading The little cottage on the Hill by Emma Davies there's a series of 4 books I enjoyed all of them. x
ReplyDeleteWhat a great list! Thank you for sharing. I loved Lessons In Chemistry and I just started the series- so far it is living up to the book!
ReplyDeleteThanks Holly. I will have to look up the series you are reading.
DeleteYou've read a nice variety of books and several that I would like to look for. I'm reading the Ivy Malone series by Lorena McCourtney and it is SO good! I'm loving it and think you would too! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI have read Daisy Darker and really enjoyed it. I am currently reading Empire of The Vampire
ReplyDeleteYes Natasha, Daisy Darker was a good book that I enjoyed reading.
DeleteLots of great ideas...I have read some of those and will add the others to my TO BE READ pile. I am a little behind in my reading goal this year....listening to The Librarian of Burned Books now and loving it!
ReplyDeleteAnn, I will look up the book you are listening to. Thanks for visiting and enjoy the weekend.
