Hello friends. This is the first time I'm linking up with Jennifer from Overflowing With Thankfulness for her fun link-up Four Things.
For the last Saturday of each month, she prompts us to share Four Things that we Loved, Read, Learned, and Ate.
LOVED:
We recently went to Tim Hortons for breakfast. We had egg sandwiches, donuts, and coffee. We love going to Tim Hortons on occasion and I think it's better than Dunkin Donuts. Have you ever had Tim Hortons?
We went to Trader Joe's after our breakfast and I was so happy to see the spring flowers on display.
READ:
I loved reading Nancy Drew mystery books when I was little. My daughter had a collection of these books that I saved. I was excited to read again The Mystery of the 99 Steps by Carolyn Keene. I was and still am a Nancy Drew fan. This was a fun read that takes you all over Paris and Nancy and her Dad have to try and solve a mystery case together. Have you read any Nancy Drew books?
LEARNED:
I've learned that I love drinking craft ciders from DOWNEST. I've had the Pomegranate and Blackberry flavors. On a recent shopping trip to Trader Joe's, we bought DOWNEAST. My daughter turned me onto them and I'm so glad I found a drink I like. Have you tried DOWNEAST?
ATE:
My husband and I went out for brunch recently on a Sunday afternoon. It was the first time we went to this restaurant and we both enjoyed our afternoon brunch. We had unlimited coffee, a basket full of bagels, and pound cake with butter and marmalade.
My husband had french toast with bacon.
I had crepes stuffed with cheese, turkey, two eggs, and avocado served with a side salad.
I hope you all have a nice weekend.

We visited a Tim Hortons a time or two on our trip to Niagara falls; we don't really ever visit Dunkin much either so I can't make a comparison but it seemed like the "thing" to do in Canada! I used to love Nancy Drew mysteries. I can remember reading them at my babysitter's house as a little girl. She had an illustrated hard covered series of them and I slowly made my way through them all.
ReplyDeleteI love the old Nancy Drew books too and have a few of them. Love seeing all the drinks and yummy things to eat! Now I'm hungry! hahaha!
ReplyDeleteMy husband loves Tim Horton's coffee. I do prefer Dunkin ONLY because they have Oatmilk and Tim Horton's does not, so I have not actually tried their coffee. I am dairy free and I can't drink coffee plain. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteSo, I actually went to a Tim Horton's in Mount Vernon, OH this morning because I was meeting my daughter and they now have Oatmilk. I was not a fan of the coffee...sorry. I do like Dunkin's better.
DeleteCindy, I am happy that you were able to go to Tim Hortons and have your coffee with Oatmilk!
DeleteI love Tim Hortons! But definitely prefer the Canadian Tim Hortons to the US version. What a trip down memory lane with your Nancy Drew reading! I think I read all of them when I was a kid, and I owned most of them. Haven't read them in years though. Have a blessed weekend! Visiting from SFS#12
ReplyDeleteI've never been to Tim Horton's. I don't even know if there is one near me. Now I''ll probably see them everywhere! I used to love Nancy Drew books! Your breakfast looks delish, and I'm going to look for Downeast at TJ's.
ReplyDeleteI think I had Tim Horton's in Canada. It's been awhile though. Your brunch looked so good. We've been trying to new places for breakfast/brunch lately. It's so fun. I loved Nancy Drew books. I haven't tried those ciders. I'm glad you found something you like!
ReplyDeleteI read and had a collection of Nancy Drew when I was younger. I have never been to a Tim Horton's we do not have them near us. It looks yummy. We love to go out on Sunday for breakfasts and to try new places. Have a great rest of the week. Hugs. Kris
ReplyDeleteI've only been a Tim Hortons one time and it's been a few years. We don't have one near us. That donut looks amazing! Oh my, seeing this Nancy Drew book brings back so many good memories. I read every one that our bookmobile carried when I was a young girl!
ReplyDeleteI love donuts - wish we had Tim Hortons here. There are some Trader Joe's but they are all about an hour away! I loved the Nancy Drew books and would check them out of the school library whenever they were available, which wasn't often - they were very popular. Your breakfast looks delicious - especially that French toast! Hope you are getting some nice spring sunshine. Hugs x K
ReplyDeleteI have never been to Tim Hortons (I'm not sure we have them around here) but that donut sure does make me want to try one if I can find it! Donuts are so alluring:)
ReplyDeleteI have never heard of Tim Hortons, maybe an east coast thing. Trader Joes always has fabulous flowers. Breakfast out is a nice habit for us. I did read Nancy Drew when I was young. Thanks for telling me about the ciders. We have been drinking cider at night. Happy weekend.
ReplyDeleteI've never had Tim Horton's coffee. I've heard it's a good cup of coffee, though there aren't any around. You had me at donuts, though, LOL.
