Recent Costco Finds

August 10, 2020

Hello blog friends.

Mr. JCL and I enjoy shopping at Costco for the great buys.  On a recent trip there I found some items I'd love to share with you.

We've been using Chia Seeds in a lot of our foods.  We use it in our protein shakes, pudding, and cream of wheat.  I remember many years ago using chia seeds to make Chia pets.  Who knew that chia seeds would be so popular.

We decided to try out the Caesar Salad with dressing, parmesan cheese, lemon, and croutons.  This salad tastes so good and it makes enough for at least three salads.

We've tried this dark roast coffee and we like it.  If you like strong coffee then you are going to love this.

This green tea is so good either hot or cold.  I make for the family a large pitcher of iced green tea.  I like that the teabags come individually wrapped so they stay fresh.

I needed minced garlic and I decided to give this a try.  It comes in such a large jar but it'll last me a while.  I like using minced garlic in a lot of the recipes I make for our family.

I was excited to try this Avocado Oil Mayonnaise for the first time.  It tastes good and is so healthy.

We enjoy eating these stuffed peppers with meat and rice for dinner.  They go perfect with a salad.

I was excited when I saw these Fila joggers for only $12.99.  I'm so happy they fit me and these will be great to wear for the fall and winter months.  They feel like thick sweatshirt material.

My college girl needed new notebooks for going back to school.  The price was good for this 3 pack of 3 subject notebooks.

I've wanted new pots and pans for a while.  I saw this Circulon 13 piece set and liked the price and that the lids are clear so you can see what is in the pot.  Three of the pans have a strainer and the set comes with three frying pans.  The price was good and better than Macy's and Amazon!  I like using my new pots and pans but I have to be careful using the clear pan tops.

Have you tried any of these items or found some new Costco finds?

  1. Yes! I love a good Costco run!! I love that green tea. It is the best! I split it with my girls because we all love it and there's so much in the box. That garlic is really good too. I've gotten a few pairs of joggers there and they are my favorites!

  2. I'll go online and look for those joggers. That's what I like to wear in the winter to walk in. I've never been in a Costco but I know I would love the variety!

  7. I haven't found anything new lately, so appreciate that you are introducing me to some new things. I've been running in and out as fast as possible when I do go, and miss the pre-COvid days when I could wander around and look for interesting things. I'm going to try the stuffed peppers, and look for the joggers. I'm not in the market for new pots, but on my last trip, a bought a great set of silverware. I also love their Charisma sheets. And I may give the ravioli lasagna that Kris (above^) suggested.

  8. Thank you, Julie....I can't wait to try the mayo. I never looked for it, but it sounds like something we would love. I just love those Costco rotisserie chickens. On days I don't want to make the trek to Costco and walk to our local grocery store and pick up one of those chickens I have to laugh...they look like pigeons they are so small! My issue is that I cut up the chicken and use all the meat. Then when I go to throw out the carcass I can hear my mother in my ear saying "you can't throw that out, that would make wonderful soup." So, I make soup...and get many meals out of that one chicken. Thanks again for your picks...I have those post ( I think mine our Analon, hard anodized, and I love them. Enjoy your new finds !

  9. Great finds Julie. We love Costco. The Kirkland brand coffee is great. Those rotisserie chickens are so yummy and such a great price. Sometimes I also pick up prepared foods. My husband would probably love the avocado oil mayo. Thanks for sharing these.
