Let's Take a Look at The Vessel

May 26, 2020

Hello blog friends.

I hope you are making the best of staying home due to the coronavirus.

Since we can't get out and go on any fun day outings, I thought it would be fun to take you on a virtual tour of The Vessel.

Looking back now I'm so happy and thankful I was able to take that day trip last spring to The Vessel at Hudson Yards, in New York City.

The Vessel is a large structure that you can go on if you buy tickets.  It's located at Hudson Yards.  This time we didn't go on the Vessel because the lines were too long.  To make up for it we walked around the area while I took photos.

If you look closely you can see people walking on the different levels of this structure.

I thought the white daffodils looked so pretty lined along the area.

There is a mall across from the Vessel with a lot of stores and restaurants.  If you look you can see Neiman Marcus, Lululemon, and Sephora which are some of my favorite stores.  We stopped in the mall to have a look around and have coffee.

You can see crowds of people looking and taking photos of the Vessel.

The Vessel rises 16 stories high and consists of 154 flights of stairs, 2,500 steps, and 80 landings for visitors to climb.

The next time you can travel to New York City, The Vessel is a must-see attraction.

Have you visited The Vessel yet?

  8. The 50th anniversary of our first date was in April and we were planning a visit to NYC. We have been several times, but we have never really explored Central Park. Obviously with the pandemic, we did not get to make our visit. Now I will add the Vessel to our list for when we finally do visit.

  11. I haven't visited, but I know I will someday. My youngest son has never been to NYC and we were supposed to go this summer, but we had to leave home for awhile to take care of my mom and neither of us wants to go anywhere right now. We'll travel again maybe over the holidays or something. :) I sure liked seeing your pictures here. It's really huge!!
