Hello blog friends.
I love cobblers now that it's cooler weather and fall will be here soon. In fact, I enjoy eating cobblers at any time of the year.
I recently made a pear cobbler since I didn't have any apples on hand.

The pear cobbler tasted so delicious and it was the perfect dessert to satisfy my craving for something sweet but not too sweet.
This type of dessert is perfect to serve at a potluck dinner or even a BBQ.
I love baking cobblers so much that I made this peach cobbler for a family party.

PEAR COBBLER
INGREDIENTS:
3 - 4 cups fresh pears, not peeled and sliced
1/4 cup raisins
1 cup sugar, divided
1 stick butter, melted
3/4 cup flour
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup almond milk
1 egg
DIRECTIONS:
Heat oven to 325 degrees F. Mix the pears and raisins with 1/2 cup sugar and let stand. Put melted butter in a 2-quart baking dish. Combine all the dry ingredients, including 1/2 cup remaining sugar. Mix well. Whisk together almond milk and egg in a mixing bowl. Slowly combine with the dry ingredients to make a batter. Pour this batter over the melted butter. Do not stir. Spoon pears and raisins over the batter. Do not stir. Bake in a heated oven for 50 to 60 minutes or until browned and pears are tender. Remove the cobbler from the oven and cool.
SUGGESTIONS:
Serve warmed or cool with ice cream or whipped cream.
You can also add cut apples or any type of nut to this recipe.
* For this recipe I just used cut up pears (I didn't peel them).
* You can also add less sugar if you like.
I hope I've inspired you to bake a cobbler.
