Salisbury Steak Recipe

May 19, 2016

Hello blog friends, I do hope you are all having a nice week.  Do you ever run out of ideas for what to make for a week night meal?  Well I do, and I like to change things up a bit.  I have this super easy recipe to make Salisbury Steak to share with you.  I hope you enjoy it as much as my family does.

I served the Salisbury Steak with quinoa and corn for sides.  I always complete each meal with a salad too.  Below are the patties frying and cooking in the brown gravy.

SALISBURY STEAK

SALISBURY STEAK RECIPE

Ingredients:

Patties:

1 lb. lean ground beef
1/3 cup bread crumbs
2 tsp. ketchup
1 tsp. mustard
1 tsp. worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. onion powder

Gravy:

2 packs brown gravy mix
2 cups hot water
1 tsp. ketchup
1/2 tsp. worcestershire sauce

Directions:

Combine all pattie ingredients in a large bowl.  Mix with your hands until ingredients are incorporated.  Heat tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.  Cook patties on both sides until no longer pink.  Lower temperature to low.  Whisk together gravy mix and water until well blended.  Whisk in ketchup and worcestershire sauce and pour over patties in skillet.  Allow to simmer until gravy warms and thickens.

  7. This looks so delicious! We love meals like this. I make something very similar but my gravy has onion soup mix in it. I've often thought that it's too salty so yours sounds like a better idea. :)

Thank you for coming to TOHOT and sharing this yummy recipe.

  38. In Australia I cook something very similar. I just call it Rissoles in Gravy. I mix together ground beef mince, 1 grated carrot and 1 grated zuchinni, salt and pepper, ketchup, BBQ sauce, soy or worcestershire sauce. make into thick patties dust in seasoned flour and fry either side to seal. I then take make up a packet gravy mix and put in pan with the rissoles and cook on low until thickened and cooked. Great served with mashed potato and braised cabbage.
