Hello friends. Have you tried coloring with adult coloring books yet? Well, I received this coloring book from my Mom for Christmas. I love this coloring book as it's theme is Paris.
One evening recently, I decided to color a page out of the book, and I picked a page that featured pastries. I spent about an hour coloring and watching TV, and I really had a fun time and enjoyed myself. My mom also included crayons with the book and I used them to color the page. You can also use colored pencils if you have them. This is such a great stress reliever, relaxing, and you can have fun at the same time. If you want to purchase a book, they sell them at various places such as Michaels craft store, any wholesale warehouse store, Barnes & Noble book store, and Amazon. I have also noticed that if you google free coloring pages, their are pages to download online.
I hope I have convinced you to try this sometime. Have you done anything lately that was fun? I'd love to know.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.
I got one too! Mine has really tiny intricate designs and it is harder than it looks! I'm enjoying it..I need some good colored pencils...been using fine tipped markers. Your pastry page is lovely!!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter has the paris one, and it's looks really good, it's something we enjoy togetherx
ReplyDeleteJulie I am the nursery director at our church and sometimes I like to sit and color with the kids. Sometimes I enjoy it more than they do. :) I guess I should do it more often.

Oh la la...I love Paris! I have a new one and colored pencils, thanks to my sweet cousin Cindy! We'll have to plan a play date! heehee! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI have three adult coloring books Julie!! One is a Harry Potter. And I picked up a big 64 box of crayons today.lol I remember that only the Rich Kids had the big boxes when I was a little girl. How I envied them.
ReplyDeleteIt is amazing how many books that are out there on the market, it seems everywhere you go you see them, I bought one that is a smaller size, hoping I can use them for my cardmaking. Love those gifts that bring us joy and are relaxing :)
ReplyDeleteI bought a book for my daughter this fall and we all become hooked. It is a lot of fun. I just need more time to sit and color!!
ReplyDeleteNice colouring!! I too enjoyed colouring after a long time.
ReplyDeleteI have had one for about 6 months and I really like it. It would be fun to have a coloring book party. Mine is a gardening one and I got Kelly one for Christmas, and she kinda looked at me strangely until I told her that it was an adult coloring book. Hopefully she likes it, She used to love to color when she was young, time will tell.
ReplyDeleteHave a super weekend and take Bosco for a long walk before it gets tooooo cold.
Hugs,
Mary
I love to color even as a little girl, my problem now is time, when? I color on COLORFY app but would love to try those beautiful coloring books I see all around!
ReplyDeleteI have done a little colouring for grown ups, it is good fun isn't it! xx

Hi Julie, love that page of pastries. You did pretty coloring. I too got one for Christmas and haven't had the time to work in colored pencils yet, but I know it will be fun just to relax and color in the evening. Finding time for me is the key!! The books are everywhere. I was at Joann's the other day and they had shelves and shelves of coloring books. It really has taken off. Have fun and a nice weekend. xo
ReplyDeleteI want one! Lol I think they were hard to find just before Christmas due to their popularity but glad to hear they're readily available now.
ReplyDeleteHi Julie,
ReplyDeleteI got a coloring book for Christmas too. I love it . It is very calming to sit and color. Happy Coloring.

I have not yet but keep saying I will. As a little girl I used to love to paint by numbers and this would be a good substitute. I see the books but not the pencils but I see you used crayons and those I have!!!
ReplyDeleteHello, I bought a coloring book but I have yet to color in it! I hope you frame at least one of the pictures you color!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Roxy

Love your coloring pages, Julie. I have been seeing those coloring books everywhere lately - lots of people on etsy selling them, too. I haven't tried one yet but remember I used to love to color when I was younger - too busy lately crocheting, knitting and doing a little sewing.
ReplyDeleteI got this exact same book from my Grandma for Christmas! Thanks for sharing :) #HappinessIsHomemade

These look like so much fun Julie. I remember as a kid I would spend hours and hours coloring. It was one of my favorite activities.
ReplyDeleteYour Paris colouring book is a lot of fun, Julie. I have been getting my mother these books since she went into a nursing home. I always enjoyed it myself when I was a kid and then when my children were growing up I was colouring again. It is a wonderful past time. Thanks for sharing and have fun!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Sandi
Thank you for sharing at the Really Crafty Link Party! I end up coloring a lot with my kids, especially with my daughter, the artistic one, but I haven't tried it just as a relaxing hobby. Guess I need to find some coloring books just for myself!
ReplyDeleteI have always enjoyed coloring with the kids and grand kids. Now with all of the adult coloring books, you can still do it. Love all those pastries.

I bought one for my mom for Christmas, but I think I am going to get one for myself too. I spent some time colouring with my two daughters the other day and it was such an enjoyable time.
ReplyDeleteHi Julie. I love coloring. And I love drawing out the coloring page first. Lately I've spent hours drawing and coloring for my Etsy shop. So mice to know that you've found a new hobby.
ReplyDeleteI have always loved coloring and doodling. I have even tried a little water coloring. I bought an adult coloring book from my dil, but haven't tried it yet. Thought I might give it as a gift. I have a friend who is homebound and would love it. A Paris themed book sounds fun. Love the pastries! Thanks for sharing with SYC.

ReplyDeleteI received two of the adult coloring books and colored pencils for Christmas but have yet to sit down and color! I even bought another one for myself and plan to have a girlfriends coloring party. I got one at JoAnn's and one at Walmart. If you have a Five Below near you they have them there too cheap.
ReplyDeleteHey sweet friend! My mom absolutely loves the adult coloring books! She always sends me a photo of the most recent page that she completed :) I haven't gotten into them yet simply because I haven't found the time. If I have any free time I am usually reading books for reviews {{smiles}} Thanks for sharing with Roses of Inspiration. I hope to see you at the party tomorrow. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI bought a colouring book and some pencil crayons but haven't had time to try using them yet! I used to love colouring so I'm excited to give it a try as a grown up. Your colouring book is lovely - I love the Paris theme too! Thank you for being a part of the Hearth and Soul Hop, Julie. Have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteI love these new coloring books. They were at the top of my list for granddaughter's birthday gifts. You never out grow your love of coloring, especially when the books are so intriguing.
