I am taking five minutes of my day to share five things.
1) I love getting mani/pedi's in the summertime and last week I decide to pick out the color white for my nails. My daughter had this color on her nails and I loved the way it looked on her. This is a very popular nail polish color to wear right now. What I like about the color white is that it goes with everything and I think it looks nice for summer.
2) This is the lovely view I had last week while I was walking my dog Bosco. I love taking early morning walks with him when everything is so quiet.
3) My family and I decided one evening to go to caffe' bene for coffee and cupcakes. We picked out this red velvet cupcake which was just so yummy.
4) I love the color of my peach rose that bloomed recently.
5) I went on a trip with friends from my church to Cape May, New Jersey and part of the trip was a boat ride to see the whales and dolphins. I was able to get this beautiful shot of the sun setting. We did not see any whales but we saw a lot of dolphins jumping out of the water.
So that is my update on what has be happening lately. Thanks for so much for stopping by and have a lovely weekend.
I will be sharing this with Amy from Love Made My Home for her Five on Friday link party that she is hosting.

I love experimenting with nail polish especially in summer.... yours looks so refreshing! Have a lovely weekend!
ReplyDeleteJulie, one of my favorite prints by Ray Ellis is Suppertime at Cape May! In fact it is hanging in my living room. My hubs gave it to me for my 40th birthday and it is the print I would grab if the house was on fire!!
ReplyDeleteYour nails are so pretty, Julie :-) Perfect for summer. Mmm, I love red velvet anything! I have a recipe for red velvet cookies but haven't tried cupcakes yet. Lovely photos. Have a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun color on your daughter. I can't wait to have my nails painted and it's almost vacation time for me. Oh my, want that red velvet cupcake now! I love those kind of boat trips where you get to see dolphins. Wonderful photos Julie and you also have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI love your new summer nail color! It looks like you are enjoying your summer with your family. The picture of Cape May is amazing; so lovely. My best to you for a wonderful weekend :)
ReplyDeleteLovely water views! Wish I could see Dolphins! And I would love a cupcake about now!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful nails! Have a great weekend. :)

ReplyDeleteI love the white nails! I agree, they go with everything. Have a fabulous weekend, Julie!
ReplyDeleteOh such great things!!! I never would have thought of white nails though, I can see why you like them though. The best thing of all though has to be the dolphin spotting, how wonderful that must have been!!! Very exciting I am sure. Although, that cupcake must have been a very close second to the dolphins! Thank you so much as always for joining in. I hope that you have a great weekend! xx
ReplyDeleteFUN! You know I love that mani! :)
ReplyDeleteHope your having a great summer. :)

I like the look of your white nails so much, that tempted by a 30% off sale, I bought two white nail colours, a matte and a pearl! I'm off to mani-pedi now! Lovely pics Julie....Mimi xxx
ReplyDeleteWhen I lived in NY mani/pedis were $23 on Monday-Wednesday or $30 other days. Here in Mass. there are no 'specials' and the average price is $45. Not only that, but I have to drive a LOT further and I'm always working with my hands so instead of getting a mani every week I'm lucky if it's once a month. Pedis? I save those for when I get to NY. Guess I just got spoiled.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the weekend Julie. Looks like we will have lovely weather.
Pretty nails, Julie, and that cupcake must have tasted so good! Love that scene at Cape May - so beautiful! Your garden is very lovely with the ivy, holly and rose and you have a nice view when you and Bosco take your morning walks! Hope you have a wonderful weekend! Hugs xo Karen
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun idea for a post! Love your white mani!! :)
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty hands you have. I've never had a white manicure - the closest I have had is silver. I just had them painted bright red, but maybe next time I'll give white a try! I love a good red velvet cupcake. Did yours have cream cheese icing?
ReplyDeleteFun, yum and pretty all in one post. Love your pretty fun nails and the beautiful view from your walk and that cup cake looks so yummy. Have a great week end.

Hi Julie, great fives. The white nail polish looks so summery. I like the white and pink French mani for the same reason it goes with everything. Love your walking view and that cupcake looks so delicious. Your rose is so pretty! Have a nice weekend.

ReplyDeleteJoining in for a few moments to try to see a few more entries,...love your very summery Five! Sorry you didn't see whales but the dolphins are wonderful!

I've been loving white nail polish as well. It took a little getting used to but now I'm a fan! I have it on my toes right now but had it on both recently. I love Cape May but have never done the whale watch. I will have to one of these days. Your peach rose is beautiful and what a gorgeous morning walk you have!
ReplyDeleteLove the colour of your nails Julie, whoo yummy cup cake :)
