Five on Friday - Finally Spring!

April 24, 2015

I am happy to be joining Amy from Love Made My Home for her Five on Friday Series.

I'm taking five minutes of my day to share five things:

1)  I walk my dog Bosco every morning during the week and I enjoyed watching the boats go by.  It is so pretty and peaceful in the morning.

2)  It feels so nice to be out and see so many spring flowers blooming and I just love the colors these daffodils.

3)  We enjoy eating strawberries in our family and I cut up so many that I bought from Costco. Strawberries and whipped cream are my favorite.

4)  It made me smile to see my cherry blossom tree bloom in my front yard this week.

5)  I made buttermilk pancakes last weekend for breakfast and we enjoyed them so much!

That is my Five on Friday for this week and thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great weekend and have fun with whatever makes you happy.

I will be sharing this with Amy from Love Made My Home for her Five on Friday link party that she is hosting.

P. S.  Some of these photos that you see here I also share on Instagram.  If you would like to follow along with me on Instagram you can click HERE.

  1. Great list of simple pleasures, Julie :-) Those are beautiful daffodils; I don't think I've seen white and yellow ones before.

  6. Good Morning, Strawberry shortcake with ice cream is another way of eating strawberries or just plain with a little bit of sugar. We had strawberries with angel food cake when our son was home for a visit. I love the spring flowers, but they don;t like me. Allergies, the worse is the chemical spray that they use on the yard. I enjoyed catching up with you. Have a great day. Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri Friend Shirley@shirleystitches

  18. Those pancakes look amazing Julie!

Would you believe we had a little bit of snow yesterday? I can't believe how cold it is, and it's almost May! Today was in the low 30's. At least it seems to be a bit warmer in your neck of the woods, so there's hope. :/

  23. Hi Julie, I enjoyed your 5 on Friday. Buttermilk pancakes sound good. It's been a very long time since I've had pancakes. The weeping cherry is a gorgeous tree and I love your waterfront view. What a great place for dog walking! I like strawberries too. I make smoothies with strawberries, strawberry yogurt, milk, banana and protein powder quite often.
