The Man In The Brown Suit by Agatha Christie

March 30, 2015

Hi friends!  I just finished reading the book The Man In The Brown Suit by Agatha Christie.  I would love to share with you a little bit about this book.

The book starts out with a young woman named Anne Beddingfield who is seeking adventure in her life.  Anne's adventure begins when she goes to London and is present on the Hyde Park Corner tube station platform and witnesses the mysterious death of a man.  A man in a brown suit comes forward as a doctor and pronounces him dead and then leaves the station.  The man drops a note and Anne picks it up and from there Anne tries to solve the mysterious death because the verdict from Scotland Yard is accidental death.

This is the fourth novel by Agatha Christie and this book is an interesting read with mystery, adventure, and romance mixed into it.  If you love mystery and are a fan of Agatha Christie books then you will want to read this book.

I liked this book but at times I was a little confused as there are many characters.  I love reading a good mystery and would recommend this.

  4. Julie- I think I read this book years ago. It would be worth a reread. I always loved the "English style" that Agatha Christie was written in. xo Diana

  7. Agatha Christie is one of my favorite mystery authors but I must admit, I might rather watch the Masterpiece episodes featuring some of her sleuths as the plots can be complicated.

  8. This is one of my favorite Christie books. A lot of head-hopping is done in this book. But, nonetheless it's got plot, great storytelling and a feisty heroine who gets herself out of danger part of the time.

  13. Agatha is uniquely captivating. ..I love Hercule Poirot and the two detectives, Timmy and Tuppence, if I'm not mistaken, in her books...

  14. Agatha is a marvelous writer, but I know what you mean about lots of characters. Give me two, and maybe a dog, and I'm a happy girl ;).
