Book Author Harper Lee

March 2, 2015

Hi friends, do you remember reading the book To Kill a Mockingbird by author Harper Lee? Well the book was published in 1960 and she won a Pulitzer Prize.  It was announced recently that the publication of a second novel Go Set a Watchman is set for this summer.

In the announcement from her publisher Harper Collins, Lee says that the sequel was written in the mid-1950s and put aside after To Kill a Mockingbird was published in 1960.

Lee said that she had forgotten about the story and discovered the lost manuscript.  After much thought and hesitation she shared it with a handful of people that she trusted and was pleased to hear that they considered it worthy of publication.

The book is set 20 years after To Kill a Mockingbird with an adult Scout visiting her father Atticus Finch in Macomb, Alabama.

I found this information in the newspaper recently and found it to be an interesting article and I just wanted to share it with you.

You can also pre order this book from Barnes & Noble.
