I enjoy crocheting granny square blankets and I never get tired of making them. To make a granny square the post is HERE. To make the blanket you just keep crocheting until the blanket gets big and I usually crochet 25 to 30 rows.
I added a border all around the blanket using the single crochet, half double crochet and double crochet stitches.
The yarn that I used to crochet this blanket is Lion Brand Yarn in the color 170 Pistachio and Lion Brand Yarn in the color 160 Lemonade.
Sunday was the baby shower and it was so much fun to see family and to play baby bingo and other games and to see all the cute presents being opened. I am looking forward to when the baby will be born.

Hi Julie,
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet combination of green and yellow! When I first clicked on to your page, in the address bar, I saw ''granny'' and thought ''granny APPLE" and even though I was off, I have to say that in the end, the shade of the green yarn, at least in the photos, DOES resemble the colour of a granny smith apple! Don't you think so?!!

Hi Julie! I like the color you used for your granny square. I don't know how to crochet but I do knit. I enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteI got your name in the mug exchange through The Enchanting Rose. It's nice to meet you!

I love to crochet too! I can also knit, but I prefer crochet. Lately, all I can do is just crochet and crochet...
ReplyDeleteI am visiting your blog to see what other beauties you have created. Thank you so much for stopping by.
Lovely color combinations Julie :)

ReplyDeleteThank you for linking up at "Link & Share Wednesday!" I've never made a granny square blanket - it looks like it would be a very relaxing project to undertake for the wintertime hours :) Thank you for sharing! Rhondda
ReplyDeleteThat's a cute blanket. Green and yellow look very pretty together. So far I've only made baby blankets in one color, but I should definitely try some combinations.
