Hello blog friends.
I went on another shopping spree recently at Sephora. I'd love to share some of the items I bought.

1. Fenty Beauty - By Rihanna - Hydrating Primer
While on my shopping spree in Sephora I wanted to buy face primer. I was all set to buy a different primer when I was asked to be helped by a sales associate. I wanted to buy Too Faced Hangover face primer after receiving a sample of it that I liked. Well, they showed me the primer by Rihanna and I liked it immediately after they put some on my hand. The primer soaked right into my hand and made my skin feel soft. The color is Soft Silk and the price is $32 and $2 less than the Too Faced primer.
Do you use face primer before you apply your foundation? I never did, but after using the sample from Too Faced it makes a difference. The foundation applies to your face easier and makes it stay on longer.

2. Sephora Quick Clean - Dry Clean - Brush Cleaner
This spray brush cleaner is great for a fast clean for your eye shadow brushes. I decided to give this a try for using my new eye shadow palettes. It gets the brushes clean and it's so easy to use. You just spray the cleaner on your brush and then wipe away on a tissue. The price is $15.

3. Sephora Deep Clean - Solid Brush Cleaner
This is a solid cleaner that is great for getting a deep clean for your makeup brushes. You get your brush wet with water and then run it over the solid soap. I use this when cleaning my Sephora foundation brush. The price of this Sephora solid brush cleaner is $15. I am trying to be better at keeping my brushes clean. I'm applying makeup to my face and I don't want any breakouts or anything.

4. Sephora - Retractable Waterproof Eyeliner
I have been using a dark olive eyeliner lately and I like this one from Sephora. It is waterproof so it stays on better and doesn't wear off after a few hours. The color is 06 Olive and the price is $13. The reason why I have been using olive eyeliner is that it gives my eyes a softer look.

5. MAC Mascara Update
I was given for Christmas this MAC mascara from my sister-in-law. I used it and I thought it was good but the mascara for the upper lashes has already dried out so fast. If you missed that blog post you can read it here. I am using the lower lash mascara in the meantime.

6. New Dashing Diva Gloss Ultra Shine Gel Strips
I just bought these nail gel strips recently at Sally Beauty. I was doing gel manicures at my nail salon for about a year and it made my nails weak. I have been doing regular manicures and I was curious to try out these gel strips. These gel strips are peel and stick. You have to find the right size nail strip to add to the nail. It says on the package that they are to last 14 days. I kept mine on for a week and I like using them. When you are done wearing the gel strips you can peel them right off. Mr. JCL thought that I went to the nail salon to get my nails done. LOL.
Have you tried gel strips and do you like them?
If you have tried out any new makeup that you like, please let me know in the comments section. I'd love to know!

Hello friends. I hope you're all having a good week!
Today I'd love to share with you my favorite dry shampoo, and a few others I enjoy using.
Today I'd love to share with you my favorite dry shampoo, and a few others I enjoy using.
My favorite hair product is called Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo.
I happen to have very fine hair and it's not that easy for me to take care of. I do not wash my hair everyday, (usually every other day), and I when I need to freshen it up, I use dry shampoo.
Usually I like taking my shower in the evenings, and then wash my hair and condition it. Then in the morning I use dry shampoo and with a few sprays I can manage my hair to look good. After that I usually use a little bit of hairspray and I'm good to go.
This dry shampoo really cleans my hair well and eliminates oil, sweat, and odor. This would be a great product to take along to the gym, as your hair gets all wet and sweaty after a good workout.
What I like about this hair product is that there is no perfume smell and you only need to spray a little bit in your hair to work well.
I also like to bring dry shampoo with me when I'm traveling, as it's so easy to use if I don't feel like washing my hair that day.

Another dry shampoo I love using is Not Your Mother's Clean Freak Refreshing Dry Shampoo. I like the way this product works and it only costs $5.99. I bought mine at Walgreens and it's available in most drug stores. I like using this product because it works well on my hair, with no perfume smell. It also seems to add a little bit of body to my hair. I love the price of this dry shampoo too!
There is another dry shampoo that I've used and I felt it was just ok, called DETOX Dry Shampoo by DryBar. This product had a very overpowering perfume smell to it, that just made me sneeze every time I used it. I bought a sample set of DryBar products at Sephora, and I was happy that I could sample this product that way and not buy the full size. In New York City they have stores where you can have your hair washed and blown dry with their products for $40! Who knows, you might like this product and it's worth a try.
Another dry shampoo that I have tried and liked a lot is called Klorane Dry Shampoo and it worked well on my hair. I bought this product at Duane Store drug store.
There are so many benefits to using dry shampoo, and they are really convenient to use if you are rushed in the mornings like me. I happen to like using the aerosol form, but they also come in powder and mousse.
Here are some benefits for using dry shampoo:
* It's a great way to replace washing your hair if you do not have time to wash it.
* Dry Shampoo makes your hair style hold up and last longer.
* Colored hair lasts longer since you are shampooing less.
* Using dry shampoo may add volume to your limp and flat hair.
* The product can help cover up dark roots if you dye your hair blonde.
These are just a few reasons why I like using dry shampoo.
Have you ever used dry shampoo and do you have a favorite that you like using?

Week 31 - Sephora Lip Pencil and Lip Liner
Week 31 - Sephora Lip Pencil and Lip Liner
Hello friends, I know it's been a while since I've done a Makeup Monday post. I have decided going forward that I will do these posts twice a month since I love makeup.
I would love to show you some makeup I purchased before the holidays at Sephora. I bought Sephora Glossy Lip Pencil in Pale Pink and it cost $10. Click HERE to see the link for this lip pencil. This lip pencil gives your lips a light color and feels like lip gloss. This lip pencil reminds me of the chub stick from Clinique. I like wearing this during the daytime when going out.
This is a retractable Sephora Lip Liner I picked out to go with the lip pencil. It's a nude color and waterproof that goes with any lipstick. The cost of this lip liner is $13 and click HERE to see the link.
I hope I gave you some fun ideas for the next time you are shopping in Sephora.
Thanks so much for stopping by and see you all next time at Makeup Monday.
WEEK 29 - SEPHORA FAVORITES
Hi friends, and welcome to Week 29 of Makeup Monday. I hope you all had a nice weekend. I had a nice weekend going out to dinner with friends and family and I went to an appreciation party at my church yesterday. Today I'd love to show you a few makeup favorites that I purchased from Sephora.
My first favorite is Benefit Beyond Mascara - They're Real. This mascara is amazing and makes your lashes look full and thick without any clumps. It lengthens, curls, adds volume, lifts and separates the lashes without any smudging or drying out. This color is jet black and the cost is $23.00.
My second favorite is MARC JACOBS Gel Eye Crayon in the color 42 Blacquer. This eyeliner gives you a dramatic look and gives your eyes some pop with intense color. This eyeliner is perfect for a night out. The cost is $25.00.
My third favorite is Formula X New Classics Nail Polish in the color Harmonics - Deep Lilac. This polish gives your nails high shine and dries fast. This polish is a bold shade of lilac. There are many shades available and the cost is $10.50 a bottle.
My fourth favorite is Nails Inc. Gel Effect Polish in the color Mayfair Lane. This polish gives the effect of a gel polish with a lot of shine. The best part is there is no UV lights needed to apply this polish. This color is a very pale pink and goes with everything you wear. The cost is $14.00.
I love shopping at Sephora and I do hope you enjoyed looking at some of my favorite makeup I bought there.
Thanks so much for stopping by this week for Makeup Monday.
Thanks everyone and Enjoy!
Julie
