Books I've Read - June 2026

June 4, 2026

Hello friends, and happy June!  I'd love to share with you the books I've read recently.

I loved this book set in Italy at the Amalfi coast.  It's about how three people need an escape from their daily lives and form friendships while on vacation.  This makes me want to take a trip back to Italy for the summer!

I was looking for a book to read and I saw that this was recommended by the library and a halfway-to-Halloween book.  I started reading this, but could not finish it as it was too slow for me.  I'm a little disappointed, but if I don't like the book I'm reading or I'm bored, I will not waste my time finishing it.

I enjoyed this fun read, that made me laugh at times.  The main character in this book has a funny personality.

Ocean’s Eleven meets The Devil Wears Prada” (The Skimm) in this hilarious, razor-sharp debut novel about a group of overeducated and underpaid women who decide they’ve finally had enough...

Rule #1: All important men have assistants. Rule #2: Men rule the world. Still. Rule #3: There is enough money. There is so much money.

If you have book recommendations, please let me know.

I will share this post at the monthly book link-up party, Share Your Shelf.  It's held on the first Thursday of each month.  Slices of Life

  1. Pity about the second book -- it's a great title! (And of course, a cat.) The Assistant sounds fun to me.

  2. Thanks for your book recs! I don't finish a book if I can't get into it...too many good books out there! I'm reading Beautiful Ugly by Alice Feeney right now. So far, so good!

  3. Thanks for the recommendations on the books you finished. I always love to find a good summer read. I am not a fast reader. I have friends that go through books weekly. Nope give me a few and I will get through them in the summer unless it is so good you cannot put it down. Happy New Week. Hugs. Kris
