Hello friends, and happy May! 🌸
I'm joining Amy from the blog, Coffee and Cocktails at the Casa, for her Currently link-up. It's held on the first Wednesday of each month.
This month, we are sharing what we are loving, weeding, enjoying, eating/drinking, and shopping for.
LOVING: I've been seeing some Broadway shows at the Roundabout Theatre in Manhattan lately.
We enjoyed seeing Fallen Angels starring Kelli O'Hara, Rose Byrne, and Mark Consuelos.
We loved seeing The Rocky Horror Show at Studio 54 starring Luke Evans, Juliette Lewis, and Michaela Jae Rodriguez. This was such a fun show, and the cast was amazing.
WEEDING: We've been doing some home improvement projects in the house. We just had our handyman put in a new shower head in our bathroom. In another bathroom I had him do new chalk around a window and bathtub. He had to repaint the ceiling in our kitchen due to a leak from the old showerhead. I had him replace all of my hinges on my kitchen cabinets. I also gave all of my kitchen knobs a good cleaning. He also repaired a large gap/whole in the back top part of our garage. We've had stay cats get in the garage, and even a possum got in the top rafter over the winter. My husband had to scare the possum out of the garage. He had leaves and garbage all around him to keep him warm. I felt bad, but now we will not have any more animals living in our garage.
ENJOYING: I'm enjoying the warmer weather and happy not wearing a warm coat anymore. I love seeing the spring flowers on my walks to the gym and when I walk Lucy.
EATING/DRINKING: I've been trying to make healthy meals for our dinner. Below are some meals that I made recently for dinner.
I made roast pork tenderloin with string beans and spinach for dinner.
This is moo shoo pork with rice that I made for dinner.
Below, I made stuffed peppers with couscous and beans for dinner.
SHOPPING FOR: I've been shopping for all things, baby. I have two baby showers that I will be attending this month and next month. I bought a pretty dress for a spring garden party that I will be attending with my daughter at the Frick Museum in June. I will dress it up with my sandals and jewelry. I'm happy because I bought this dress on sale at Macy's.
What is currently new with you?
Julie

Such a springy post! I love it! That dress is perfect for the garden party. I love seeing Broadway shows too. Rocky Horror is on my wishlist. It has a stellar cast! Your healthy dinners look yummy. It is nice to get a lot of home repairs done (and no more stray animals living in the garage!). I hope you're having a great week Julie!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful it is for you to see broadway shows, Julie, and to be able to walk to the gym. Your meals look so healthy and delicious. Your new dress is so perfect for Spring! How wonderful to have your handyman take care of needed things around your home. Have a Happy Mother’s Day! 💐
ReplyDeleteBusy times Julie. Seeing broadway shows is so fun. We saw a few while visiting NY. It feels good to get things repaired, kudos to the handyman. Your meals look fabulous and healthy. Such a pretty dress to wear to the event with your daughter. Enjoy the sunshine.
ReplyDeleteYou've been incredibly busy -- well done on the home improvement tasks. Those are always a pain and always a good thing to be done with. A sense of relief and accomplishment. I just read that Fallen Angels was nominated for Tony awards as best revival and O'Hara (love her!) and Byrne were nominated too. I think the costumes and set as well -- I know there were four nominations. I've been weeding too. It will be a forever project, I think!
ReplyDeleteYou are so lucky to be able to go into the city and see broadway shows. When we go back to NY I want to make sure we will have time to see a broadway show or two. All your meals look yummy. Possums are actually really good little critters but only on the outside lol! I have two that come out of the woods sometimes to eat leftover birdseed on the ground. Don't feel bad you actually did that possum a favor to get out of the garage and back into a more natural habitat. Your dress is beautiful. Have a great rest of the week. Hugs. Kris
