Hello friends. I can't believe it's already the end of June. We just had a heat wave and it already feels like summer weather here. How's the weather in your neck of the woods?
I'm joining Holly and Patty for their Monthly Musings link-up. The topic for this month is Summer Travel and Traditions.
HERE ARE THE QUESTIONS:
1. For the summer we plan on going to the beach, I want to read some books in the yard (if it's not too hot out), taking Lucy for walks in the neighborhood, and taking her to the dog park. We usually have a large family bbq but since we have our new dog Lucy we plan on having smaller bbq parties.
2. A tradition my husband and I love doing is visiting Coney Island. We spend the day at the beach and have Nathans hot dogs. YUM!!
3. My favorite summer destination is going to the Jersey Shore. We always go to Long Beach Island. We plan on renting a house for a week this summer.
3. I love going to the ocean.
4. We don't have any pool time planned this summer. When my mom was alive we would go to her pool all the time.
5. I love using packing cubes for travel. The cubes work well to keep your clothes organized. I like packing small travel-size toiletries and hair products. I try to mix and match all of my clothes, and I usually only pack sneakers, sandals, and flip-flops.
6. Here are a few summer movies I like: Barbie, Mama Mia, Mama Mia Here We Go Again, In the Heights, Crazy Rich Asians, and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
7. I love an iced latte/coffee, iced tea, and an Aperol Spritz.
8. Some songs that say summer to me are Espresso - by Sarina Carpenter, Watermelon Sugar - by Harry Styles, and Golden - by Harry Styles.
9. I like American cheese and ketchup on my burger and mustard on my hotdog.
10. We grill all of our food on our Weber gas grill. My husband makes the best-grilled steak! He is our grill master.

What a fun summer filled post! Going to the beach sounds like it will be wonderful! I can't believe we are at the end of June either. It's going too fast already! I want to slow down and savor it! The food all looks yummy. I need to get to Coney Island one of these day!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun summer. The Jersey Shore is lovely. I can’t get over the charge to go on the beach. My husband is from New Jersey. Since we have our own pool, I spend time here, happy summer.

Sounds like a great summer. I love LBI. Such a great beach and so many good places to eat. We have never been to Coney Island. We talk about going every year but never have!
