A Spring Visit to Trader Joe's

May 9, 2023

Hello friends.  We went to Trader Joe's recently and I'd love to share with you some of my finds.

This time I spotted so many spring flowers.  I replanted this plant into a large pot and it's sitting on my kitchen counter.

I repotted three pots of daffodils into a planter on my front stoop.

We bought this pretty succulent plant.  Hopefully I can keep this plant healthy.  I know they don't need a lot of water.

I recently saw a dermatologist on Instagram suggest using this facial sunscreen.  I can't wait to use this SPF 40 sunscreen.

I was running out of this eye cream.  This is a favorite of mine and it works great with hydrating my skin.

My daughter and I have been drinking tea in the afternoon and evening.  We picked up a few boxes of tea.

I love the artichokes from Trader Joe's.  I used them to make stuffed artichokes.

I spotted a large package of vegetables.  I made a stir-fry meal for dinner.  I made the veggies with olive oil, teriyaki sauce, and a little bit of garlic, and added cut up chicken.  You could also do a stir-fry meal with veggies using shrimp, or steak.

We had a good time picking out an assortment of dips.

I love this spinach dip on chips or crackers.

We love the chips shown below.

Here are some other items I love from Trader Joes:

  • sourdough bread
  • english muffins
  • lemonade
  • Joe Joe's cookies
  • peanut filled pretzels
  • mixed nuts
  • cereal
Have you been to Trader Joe's lately and what did you buy?

My blogging buddy, Heather likes to share items she bought at Trader Joe's too.  You can see her latest TJ's haul here.

  1. All your plants look wonderful! I nearly stopped at a Trader Joes yesterday but I hadn't been there since my boys were in strollers and knew it would not be a quick stop for me which meant I really didn't have time.

  3. I haven't been to Trader Joe's in awhile, and can't wait to stock up the new house with summer items. Right now we are just working on eating what we have in the freezer and pantry before the move!

  4. Yum Yum. I have a gift card for Trader Joe's. It is far from where I live but I might have to take a ride and pick up some yummy things. Happy New Week. Hugs. Kris

  5. Great post, Julie...I was just at Trader Joe's yesterday! It is over an hour drive from our home so I did not buy too much. Will post soon what followed me home, but one thing is the Greek Salad which we will have for lunch today. Thanks for sharing your finds...I will keep them in mind for our next road trip!

  6. Trader Joe's is pretty far from my house and always, always packed, so I rarely, if ever, go. I know people rave about their flowers and plants and recently my kids were asking me for cookie butter and apparently TJ's has the best one. So I just might have to go and check out some of the yummies you picked up, too! Happy Sunny Day!

  7. You found some great things at TJ’s, Julie. Thanks for your recommendations. I do love their artichokes and always get them. I don’t go as often as I like because it’s not that convenient for me, but I do love it when I go. Have a great week!

  9. Oh, Golly, this post made me hungry. We have one right in town, and yet I seem to only go in to TJ's once in awhile, but now I'm putting it on my list for this week!!

  10. TJ's is so close to me, I go frequently. I love that eggplant dip, and I've been avoiding those Everything But The Bagel chips because I know I'll love them and I have no self-control when it comes to that!

  11. I love to go to Trader Joe's and forage around! I recently bought a beautiful anthrum plant, you only water it once a week with 6 ice cubes! I'm also addicted to their peanut butter pretzels, so good!

  13. Trader Joes is pretty far from my home so we never make it that way. I love seeing what others find there though. I am in love with the pink pot, and the flowers look great too. Thank you for sharing Julie.
