Hello blog friends.
I have my Friday Favorites - May Edition:
My daughter came home from college for a visit last weekend. We had a great time celebrating my daughter who will be turning 21 years old tomorrow. I can't believe how fast the time has flown by!
I decorated our mantel with decorations for her birthday.
I cooked one of my daughter's favorite pasta dishes for dinner. We also had a delicious strawberry shortcake to celebrate her birthday. We had a great time with my daughter but she had to return to college Monday. She will be finished with school in two weeks and I look forward to spending more time with her this summer.
I was pleasantly surprised on Tuesday when these beautiful roses were delivered to me. The roses are from Venus Et Fleur and they will last one year with no water necessary. These gorgeous roses are from my daughter. I just love how pretty they look and they smell amazing!
I had my monthly zoom knit/crochet meeting this week. I was inspired to make some crocheted coasters. I love crocheting small projects and using cotton yarn during the warmer months.
I took Bosco for his evening walk the other night and saw these pretty tulips. I love looking at the green grass and pretty trees.
On my way into a store I noticed these unique painted rocks and a few of them say peace and love. These painted rocks reminded me of Linda's Crafty Corner who loves to paint the prettiest rocks.
My daughter brought home some snacks she didn't want anymore. My husband and I enjoyed snacking on these animal crackers. I remember giving these crackers to my daughter when she was little!
Wishing you a happy Friday and Mother's Day weekend!

DeleteI'm glad that you had a lovely time with your daughter Julie, she's so pretty and the cake looks lovely, it's great that you will be able to spend more time with her soon. Lovely painted rocks and thank you for the shout out :) how nice that you have a crochet group on zoom I can't get my group to meet on zoom so we are going to have to wait until we are allowed to get together again. I love tulips, have a great weekend. xx
ReplyDeleteHappy Mother's Day, Julie and Happy Birthday to your daughter. It goes fast doesn't it? I remember when we were both discussing our girls in high school and now they're almost done with collete and 21. Too fast! I'm so interested in those flowers. Another friend shared them recently and I looked them up. You'll have to let us know how they hold up. Enjoy the time with your daughter!! xo

DeleteIt sounds like you had such a nice visit and birthday celebration with your daughter! It's crazy when they turn 21 isn't it? The flowers from her are so unique and gorgeous. How sweet! I love seeing tulips around! That rock garden was so cool! I hope you have a nice weekend and lovely Mother's day!
ReplyDeleteJulie, you sure made your daughter's birthday special ! Those roses are beautiful, too. So happy you will have the summer to spend with your daughter - and life should be a little more normal. The photo of the rocks you posted touched me. My niece's son was killed in an accident 3 years ago at his college...hit by a car. Awful. But she paints rocks with kindness thoughts on and spreads them around where she walks and near a bench his friends dedicated to him. It is a healing and beautiful thing. Glad you had a good Mother's Day - have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your sweet comment and visit Ann. I'm glad the photo of the rocks touched you and sorry about your niece's son. Ann, I hope you enjoy the week.
DeleteHow lovely your daughter is. You made her birthday extra special. The roses are beautiful. I have two bouquets from Glam Fleur. They last over a year. Happy week Julie.
ReplyDeleteHappy 21st Birthday to your beautiful daughter!! The decorations and cake were perfect. Those roses are exquisite and lasting a year is fabulous. I saw those on Linda’s blog awhile back.
