Hello blog friends. Do you ever run out of ideas for making a weeknight meal? I do.
I was so happy when I saw one of my blog/Instagram friends, Shirley from Intelligent Domestications post up on Instagram (intelligent_domestications), a photo of beef tips that she made for her dinner.
I also saw that Shirley had her crockpot recipe posted up on her blog too. I hope you will all stop by her Instagram and blog and check out her Crockpot Beef Tips and Gravy recipe.

Well, just by looking at that photo it gave me the idea to make beef strips and broccoli for dinner. I decided that I would just make mine on the stove.
Below you can see my Beef and Broccoli cooking on the stove. This is the easiest weeknight meal and everyone will love it.
I love it when I am inspired by my blogger buddies to make recipes that I see on their blogs and on Instagram. Thanks Shirley from Intelligent Domestications for inspiring me to make this awesome and delicious dish.
It reminds me of a Chinese takeout dish that we often get when we order Chinese food.
I decided that I would make Instant Pot Rice as a side for the beef and broccoli. You can serve this dish with anything you like on the side.
EASY BEEF AND BROCCOLI
INGREDIENTS:
I package of beef strips
1 jar of beef gravy
1 small package of frozen broccoli
1 tablespoon olive oil
DIRECTIONS:
In a large skillet add to the pan olive oil and beef strips. Cook the meat until it is all the way cooked through and no more pink in meat. Next add in gravy and broccoli and cook them all together until broccoli is done and tender.
Meanwhile you can cook your rice on the stove or in the Instant Pot.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope I've inspired you to cook up this easy weeknight meal!
That looks really good, Julie. I grew up with beef for a lot of our meals (raised on a farm) and meals like this always bring me back to my roots. I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteI definitely get in a dinner rut!! I love when I'm inspired by someone else to try something new and we love it. I could make this with Gardein beefless strips!! It sounds yummy!
ReplyDeleteThat looks yummy Julie so quick and simple too. I tend to write a list of meals in a notebook or pin ideas to my Pinterest board trouble is sometimes I spend so much time browsing on there meal time is over and I just make do with a sandwich haha. xx
ReplyDeleteSounds delicious and easy to cook. It also reminded me of Chinese takeout. Rice is the perfect side dish for this. Yummy! Thank you so much for sharing.

It sure sounds easy to make! I bet my crew would love it. I wanted to clarify too, that my son really is so good, Julie. The caption was just because he's walking into an area where it says, 'Do Not Enter." :) Crossing my fingers he stays awesome through the teen years though, which will be here before we know it. ;)
ReplyDeleteOh, I love beef and broccoli over rice. I will have to try your recipe, my friend :)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the remainder of your week. Hugs!
