My Knitting Works In Progress

November 17, 2014

Hi everyone, now that the weather is getting cold outside I thought I would share with you a few scarves that I'm in the process of knitting and trying to get done!  I have been knitting these for a long time and I always seem to put one of them aside and not work on it.  The reason is I'm always crocheting or knitting for our Christmas crochet sale that we have at our church each year.  You can click HERE to see last years Christmas Fair at our church.

These are my scarves that I'm in the process of knitting!

The scarf below is the drop stitch and to see how to knit this you can click HERE.

Some of you may recognize this purple yarn, it's yarn I received from Stephanie's tea mug exchange I was involved in.  If you missed that post you can see it HERE.

The scarf below is called the seed stitch and to see how to knit this you can click HERE.  I plan on making this into an infinity scarf.

My goal is to try and work on these scarves and have them each completed by 2015!  Wish me luck!

Do you have any unfinished projects that you would like to have finished soon too?

Ways to Follow Julie's Lifestyle

Thanks everyone and Enjoy!

  1. Beautiful scarves Julie. I especially like the drop-stitch pattern and the seed-stitch will look great as an affinity scarf. And yes, oh yes, I have unfinished knitting projects! I think most crafters do as we can't help keeping our fingers busy. :)

  2. Very nice, Julie :-) I never got the hang of knitting. And I always have too many projects that I need to finish! Take care :-)

  3. hello julie,
the scarves are so beautiful!!!!! I love the first scarf. oh yes i have unfinished knitting projects.
    wish you a nice week,

  4. Lovely scarves Julie! I really like seed stitch for a scarf since it's the same on both sides and creates a nice dense pattern (warm!!). Do I have projects to finish? Yes, my kitchen ... too bad it's not a knitting project, or I might enjoy doing it more ;) Wendy x

  5. All your scarves are lovely and thanks for sharing the links to the patterns. I'd love to try out the seed stitch. Oh my I have far too many unfinished projects. I did try and stop buying more yarn so I would finish other items first. But my yarn addiction took over.
    Ali xx

  6. All of them are lovely! I especially like the stitch and neutral color of the last one. Good luck getting them all finished! Have a lovely week...:)

  13. Hi Julie, Love all your works in progress. Love the color of the seed stitch and I have a scarf my grandmother made for me while in collage so long ago that is very similar. It is a treasure.
    You work is stunning.
Thanks for stopping by and your kind comment.
    Have a great week.

  14. Hurry up and finish them so you can wear them! Heaven knows it's cold enough already 😳. When you knit, do you do so while watching TV? I know a lot of experienced knitters do that and I guess it helps to get things done faster.

  15. Love the color and the pattern of the first scarf because it reminds me of autumn!

  16. Looks like we are all the same Julie so much on the go at once, good luck with your Christmas crochet sale, I love the look of all your scarves I hope that you manage to get them finished soon. :) xx
