Amazon Prime Purchases - February 2026

February 16, 2026

Hello blog friends.

I hope everyone had a nice Valentine's Day weekend.  My husband and I celebrated by going to a neighborhood pub for dinner.  We also have this week President's Day, Lunar New Year, and Ash Wednesday!

I can't believe we are already in the middle of February.  I am glad that we only have the rest of February and March and then we'll be on to spring!  I am so over winter with the COLD weather and SNOW!!

I have some random items that I bought from Amazon, and I'd love to share them with you.

Hiware Bamboo Cutting Board

I needed a new cutting board since the one I had developed a crack and the juices from the meat dipped onto my counter.  This one is large but thinner than the board I had.  I can't wait to use this one.

Orblue Serrated Bread Knife

I needed a new bread knife, and this one is working out great.

Nutrex Hawaii Pure Hawaiian Spirulina

My husband likes taking this supplement.

Effervescent Cold Relief Plus

We ran out of these cold relief tablets.  They are similar to Alka Seltzer Plus.  These tablets work well when you have a cold.

Abreva Cold Sore Cream

I get cold sores from time to time, and this cream seems to clear it up.  I recently had a cold sore right under my nose, and this cream helped to heal it.

Boldify Hairline Powder Color Sample Kit

I remember seeing this hair powder mentioned on Tanya's blog, and I decided to give it a try.  I have blonde hair, and this seems to help with when my roots start to show, and I need my hair to be filled in a little.  Thanks, Tanya, for the recommendation.  It works great.

Books I've Read in January 2026

February 5, 2026

Hello blog friends.  I'd love to share with you the books I've read in so far this year.

Amazon

I received this book as a Christmas gift from my daughter.  I totally enjoyed reading this book.  It's about Sam and Sadie who meet at kids and then they make and develop video games after meeting again after college.  I liked this book so much that I recommended it for my daughter and husband to read.

Amazon

I've noticed other bloggers raving over this book.  I'm glad it was available to download from my Libby app from the library.  I've enjoyed other books by this author, and I even met her at my daughter's school when my daughter was little.  I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did.

If you have book recommendations, please let me know.

I will share this post at the monthly book link-up party, Share Your Shelf.  It's held on the first Thursday of each month.

Currently February 2026

February 4, 2026

Happy February blog friends! 💖

I'm joining Amy from the blog, Coffee and Cocktails at the Casa, for her Currently link-up.  It's held on the first Wednesday of each month.  This month, we are sharing what we are loving, baking/cooking, watching/reading, planning, and savoring.

LOVING:

What I'm loving right now is that the holidays are over.  We are eating healthier meals, and I'm eating less sweets.  I've been going to the gym at least three times a week.

BAKING/COOKING:

I haven't been baking anything lately, now that the holidays are over.  We are trying to cut back on sweets.

I've been trying to make healthy meals for dinner.  One of the easiest meals is making this kale, bean & mushroom soup for dinner.  The recipe for this soup can be found here.

I love making this easy sheet pan sausage and peppers for dinner.  You can find this sheet pan recipe here.  Lately, I've been adding cut-up potatoes to the pan and adding taco seasoning to give this dish extra flavor.

Recently, my daughter and her team visited Eataly to take a pizza-making class.  She brought back homemade dough that she had made, and we had pizza for lunch.

I recently made meatloaf for dinner with mushrooms and roasted carrots.  We are trying to eat fewer carbs with our meals.  I also make a salad each night with our dinner.

WATCHING/READING:

I'm caught up on streaming shows and TV at the moment.  Lately, I've been reading books.

I read two books that I enjoyed in January.  Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Garielle Zevin and The View from Lake Como by Adriana Trigiani.

PLANNING:

We are trying to plan out what vacations we want to take this year.  It's always a process to try to figure out what month and where we want to go.  I'm hoping we can get a vacation to the Jersey Shore, as we didn't get to go last summer.  Last summer, we all took a trip to Italy and England, which I totally enjoyed.  You can read about our vacation here.

SAVORING:

I look forward to my breakfast dates with my husband.  It's a nice way to start our day.

What have you been up to, and what's currently new with you?

Amazon Prime Purchases - January 2026

January 21, 2026

Hello blog friends.😀

It's been a while since I've shared my Amazon Prime Purchases.  Since these posts got a lot of page views from last year, I've decided to bring back these posts.

I've bought some random items lately and I'd love to share them with you.

Journal Kit for Girls

This is a Christmas gift I bought for a girl in our family.  I thought this would be a fun crafting project to work on.

Cross Ballpoint Refill

My husband needed new refills for his cross pen.

12 Acrylic Paint Pens

I wanted acrylic paint pens for some painting projects I plan to work on.  I can't wait to use these paint pens.

Ceramic Dip Bowl Set

I wanted small bowls to use for making a charcuterie board for the holidays.  These bowls are small and just the right size.

Spark Paws Dog Hoodie

We ordered this hoodie for our dog Lucy and she looks so cute in it.  It's made well with soft material.

Reusable Coffee Capsule for Nespresso Machine

My husband ordered these capsules to use for our espresso machine.  We can fill the capsule up with any kind of espresso coffee.

Earring Back Replacements

I needed some new earring backs and these are working out great!

Christmas Tree Storage Bag

Our box we store our Christmas tree in was starting to get worn out.  I ordered this storage bag and it's perfect for the tree and working out great.

Ways to Stay Warm in Winter - 2026 - Share Our Lives

January 11, 2026

Hello friends.

It's time for the Share Our Lives Link-Up.

The topic for this month is Ways to Stay Warm in Winter.

WAYS TO STAY WARM IN THE WINTER:

  • Dress in layers - I always wear a long-sleeve top or a turtle neck with a sweatshirt or sweater.
  • I keep my feet warm by wearing socks and slippers indoors and wearing boots outdoors.  I love wearing my Ugg boots.
  • I put an extra blanket on my bed and wear socks when I first get into bed at night.  I will later take them off when I'm warm.  I like wearing warm PJs that are usually flannel.
  • I always wear a scarf under my coat once December comes.  I also wear leather gloves.  If it's cold and windy out, I'll wear a hat.  I hate wearing a hat because it makes my hair flat and staticky.
  • I like to stay warm with a hot cup of coffee or tea.
  • I love eating soup for lunch and dinner.  A big bowl of soup always warms me up.
  • During the day, we have the heat set at 70 degrees, but if I feel cold, I will turn up the heat to 71 or 72 degrees.  At night, when we go to bed, we have the heat set at a lower temperature.
  • I like to stay active, and I go to my gym or take an afternoon walk.
  • I like taking a hot shower in the evening before I going to bed.  This warms me up and it feels good after a long day.

These are some of the ways I like to stay warm in the winter.  How do you stay warm in the winter?
