Hello blog friends.  I have recently started working on planting flowers and vegetables in my outdoor space.  The reason why I just started gardening now is because we have had such a cold spring here in the Northeast.  The weather has changed here drastically in the past two weeks from winter, straight to summer.

Come along with me and let me share with you the start of my summer gardening.

This statue of Mary is in my side garden and it's surrounded by lily of the valley flowers.  This statue and the flowers are one of my favorites spots in the garden and the flowers smell amazing.


I bought for the first time a succulent plant and I do hope I have luck with it.  I know that succulents are all the rage right now and I just had to have one.  I think it will be easy to take care of since they do not need a lot of water to grow.


I have a few handmade painted pots with assorted flowers in my yard, which I love.


I do not have a lot of space to plant vegetables.  I usually use big pots and plant herbs and a small variety of vegetables.

I love growing mint and basil plants.  I put them into one pot since I don't have too many pots.  I will see how well these do together and if they need to be separated at some point.  I also planted pepper plants in different varieties and I love using them in salads and frying them up.


Each year I plant at least 3 tomatoes plants in separate pots and different varieties.  I do not get that many tomatoes, but I love growing them and it's the best eating fresh tomatoes.


I never grew zucchini before and this is my first time.  I do hope they grow to be big.


I have this gorgeous pot of pink geraniums and assorted flowers on my front stoop that my Mom gave me for Mother's Day!  Thanks Mom, I love it!
