Hello friends. We are continuing our trip to London with my daughter.
If you missed day one, you can click here to read all about it. If you missed day two, you can click here.
DAY 3
This part of the trip will be day three, and our last day in London.
This is the day my daughter and I were going to Royal Leamington Spa to visit her friend. The train ride is an hour and ten minutes outside of London. In the train station, we both picked up a coffee and croissants to eat on the train.
We visited her friend for a little bit, and then we picked up some lunch at Tesco to eat in the park.
We walked around Jephson Gardens and Mill Gardens. The gardens are so beautiful.
It was late afternoon, and time to head back to London. By the time we got back to London a lot of the restaurants were crowded but we were able to have dinner at Dishoom. It's a nice Indian restaurant and the food was so delicious and the perfect way to end our day.
DAY 4 - Last Half Day of Trip
We got up early to pack our bags as we were leaving London for home. We were able to leave our luggage at a cafe near our apartment and able to pick them up later.
We decided to have brunch at Sunday in Brooklyn. We ate in the Marylebone location. They also have a location in Brooklyn, NY. I haven't eaten in that one, but I would love to have brunch there with my daughter.
It was such a nice walk to the restaurant.
My daughter had a cauliflower sandwich and fries. I decided to have pancakes but didn't realize that they would be huge! I was only able to eat one. The pancake is a hazelnut praline pancake. I think I asked for two of them. This was not what I was expecting, but it still tasted good. LOL!
After our brunch, we decided to walk around Kensington Gardens.
This is Kensington Palace, and it was the historic royal residence of Queen Victoria.
This statue is of Princess Diana in the sunken garden.
We had a nice time walking around the gardens. We had to leave to get our luggage from the cafe. We took the tube to get our express train to Heathrow Airport. The train ride took about 30 minutes. The train is so quick and a great way to get to the airport if you don't have a lot of luggage. My daughter and I had backpacks and carry-on luggage.
The travel back to New York went smoothly. We both had such a nice time in London, and I can't wait to go back again. Thanks for coming along!
