Hello friends and happy November! I am joining Joanne from Slices of Life for the monthly link-up Share Our Lives.
This month they are discussing - Where Do You Shop?
Where I food shop:
I belong to Costco and BJ's and this is where I do most of my food shopping. I tend to buy paper products like paper towels, tissues, and toilet paper at Costco. I like BJ's for buying food in smaller quantities. I like that I can buy cold cuts and cards at BJ's. I bought a huge bag of Halloween candy at BJ's for only 13 dollars.
If I need to buy anything quick I will go to our local Foodtown or Met Fresh Supermarket for food items.
I love Trader Joe's! We don't have a TJ's that is close to us, so my husband and I like to plan a visit in advance. We usually go out for breakfast and then shop at Trader Joe's. I love their prices for food, and they have nice candles and beauty items. I also like to buy beverages, ciders, and beer. My daughter likes their wine. We always have a huge shopping cart full of items.
Where I buy my clothes:
Whenever I shop at Costco I have to be careful because I love looking at their clothes. Most of the time I will come home with some sort of clothing. I love their leggings, sweaters, coats, PJs, sneakers, and boots.
I also like buying clothes at Macy's, Gap, and Old Navy. When I went to London last year I bought a wool coat at Primark. There is a nice Primark in Edinburgh, Scotland. My daughter and I bought some sweaters and she bought a skirt in a pattern that looks like a kilt. There is a Primark store in my area that I like.
I will start my Christmas shopping this weekend. I am hoping to do some mall shopping. I want to get a lot of shopping done to avoid large crowds of people. I also like doing shopping in small local stores and online shopping.
Where do you shop?

We shop at a lot of the same stores! I love checking out the clothes at Costco. It can be dangerous! I do some mall and outlet shopping too. I order most of our Christmas gifts online but I will have to do some in person shopping I'm sure. TJ's is my favorite but I can't find everything we need there so I always have to shop other places as well.
ReplyDeleteI get my shopping done early too. I love the local small shops and I do Amazon too. I love Costco too. Have a great week Julie. Hugs. Kris
ReplyDeleteGosh I don't think I've been to a Trader Joes (to shop!) since my boys were in strollers... I did go inside one on our girls' trip to Tennessee and I saw so many cool food items I wanted to try. I WISH we had one closer to us.
ReplyDeleteMacy's, Gap and Old Navy are some of our staples here too :)
ReplyDeleteI don't shop as much as I used to! We have quite a bit delivered from Walmart. And then we shop once a week for groceries at Publix. I would really love to go to a big department store and look around though....and try some new clothes on! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteTrader Joe's has surprisingly competitive prices!
ReplyDeleteI shop at Primark too, and I spend far too much on Amazon. 🙂
DeleteI don't belong to Costco anymore, but I remember the clothes and shoes, best. They were great. I think I'd be a big spender there if we were still members! Happy Shopping, Julie!
ReplyDeleteI have not been in a Gap in years. We don't have one close anymore. We have a Sam's club membership and love their selection of clothes. then I go with my parents and find good clothes at Bjs too.
ReplyDeleteI love reading about where people shop! I have heard of Trader Joe's and I do love the sound of it! Primark got a mention on my blog post about where I shop. It's my go to place for clothes in town. Good luck with the Christmas shopping.
ReplyDeleteJulie,

Hi Julie - Costco for some things we love like Skinny Pop, frozen fish, and of course...the rotisserie chicken. Then I alternate between Wegmans, Giant, and Aldi....sometimes Walmart. Dollar Tree is a regular stop for cards and gift bags. For clothes I tend toward Boscov's, Talbots, Kohls, and love some of the stuff I have found at Costco and Walmart. Also do a lot on Amazon. Love Trader Joes but also don't have one nearby, so like you, it's a trek and a day out! Have a great weekend :-)
