Hello friends. I'm joining Joanne from My Slices of Life for her Not Just a Mom link-up. We are discussing this month's Hobbies.
I thought this was a great topic since I have a lot of hobbies that I love.
1) Crocheting - I go through spurts where I will crochet a lot during the fall and winter months. During the spring and summer months, I always take a break from crocheting since the weather is warm and I like being outside. I've made a lot of crochet items over the years. Below you can see some of my favorite projects.
Oversized Crochet Sweater |
Crochet Unicorn |
Crochet Market Bag |
Crochet Pumpkins |
2) Blogging - I started blogging back in 2012 and I'm still blogging. I love sharing my crochet projects, recipes, and what is going on in my life. I love the blogging community and I am so inspired by what everyone shares each day. I'm glad that I've found some awesome blog friends online.
3) Reading Books - I love curling up and reading a good book any time of the year. Here is a list of books that I've read recently. I will be sharing another list of books that I've read this spring and summer.
4) Gardening - I love planting flowers, herbs, and veggies every spring. It's so fun to watch everything grow and then we can eat fresh herbs and veggies. I love making pesto sauce from the basil leaves I grow each spring.
5) Cooking recipes for my family. In the fall and winter months, I love using the crockpot and air fryer to cook healthy meals for my family. One of our favorite meals is crockpot beef short ribs. I enjoy making different soups for our lunch and dinner. This vegetable barley soup is so easy to make and tastes delicious.
What are some of your hobbies?
If you would like to join in on this link-up below you will find the topics for each month.

I've always wanted to learn how to knit or crochet but anytime I have tried I have just been awful at it.
ReplyDeleteI always love seeing your crocheted projects, Julie, and what your reading, cooking or buying at Costco or Amazon. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteP. S. I need to go make some pesto and freeze it and check out your barley vegetable soup.
Hobbies are great Julie. I did crochet baby blankets when my kids were young. I love ❤️ to garden. Cooking is always fun. I love setting a pretty table and entertaining family and friends. As you know, I enjoy designing blogs. Your little pumpkins are adorable. Enjoy this new week.
ReplyDeleteI agree that hobbies are healthy. You do such great crochet work. I've been trying to read a lot as well. Your recipes always look so good and of course I love visiting your blog!
ReplyDeleteJulie, your crocheting projects are amazing! I have not crocheted in years....my aunt taught me how and I just may need to get some yarn and start again. My favorite hobby is reading...just about anything. Books, magazines...I love to get lost in a book. Another hobby is watching movies, especially older ones. Love Turner Classic Movies. Luckily my husband enjoys this too so we have fun together. I also like to try new recipes and bake! Now in an apartment I do not garden...did for years in our homes and thought I would miss it. But I find I have more time for reading. And lastly - blogging. I find I really enjoy blogging and have made many new blogging friends...like YOU! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, you are very talented at crochet! That unicorn looks like something you'd buy in a store. Thanks for sharing your hobbies with us!

We have a lot of hobbies in common. I think, thus far, you and I are the only people who have mentioned gardening/yard work. I don't garden, but I do love to dig in the dirt outside!
ReplyDeleteThere have been so many interesting hobbies. I have been inspired with this link-up. I love your crochet projects. I tried crochet once (or three times) but just could not get the hang of it. I should try again:)
ReplyDeleteYour crochet projects are too cute. I love the unicorn and pumpkins. Thanks for linking up with us.
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful hobbies!
ReplyDeleteYour crocheting is so cute. I like doing cross stitching but only in the colder months.
Blogging is wonderful, I do love the community, it is always so supportive.
I love cooking and blogging, too! I love your crocheting. That's not one I've ever learned to do, although I enjoy a lot of other crafting. Visiting from My Slices of Life "Not Just a Mom - Hobbies" linkup.
ReplyDeleteHi, what a great selection of crocheting. Back in my early days, I crocheted anything that didn't run away. Then my art business took off, and my hobby became my work. I often worry about people who don't have hobbies...creating is so satisfying, useful and soulful.Hugs, great post, Sandi
ReplyDeleteI love all your crocheting projects, Julie. You always inspire me. One of these days I'm going to give it a try...I promise!! Haha!! And we've tried your pesto recipe and it's great!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun post! You crochet so beautifully and everything is always so cute. I too have all these hobbies except the crocheting part, I’ll leave that to you as you’re so good! Blog friends are the best that’s why I keep doing it as well and I truly love it way more than social media.
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful hobbies. Your crochet is beautiful.
