Friday Favorites - October

October 11, 2019

Hello blog friends and happy Friday!

I am happy to be sharing some of my October favorites.

1.  Fall Candles

I spotted in Bath & Body Works these awesome fall candles.  I love burning candles in the evening during the fall and holidays.

2.  Book I Read

I bought this book many years ago at a sale at the library.  I love reading books by the author Nicholas Sparks.  I'm so glad I FINALLY got the chance to read this book.

3.  Wishlist Makeup

This Maybelline Dream Urban Cover foundation is on my wishlist. I am hoping to use it once I have used up my It Cosmetics foundation.  It is supposed to be good and the dupe to using It Cosmetics foundation.

Have any of you tried this foundation yet?

4.  Steak & Lobster Restaurant

My husband and I recently went out to eat on a Friday night at a local restaurant.  It was so good and I enjoyed eating the steak and lobster dinner shown in the right photo.  The restaurant wasn't busy since it was a rainy night.  We were able to meet and talk with chef Steve.  We will look forward to going back to this restaurant again.

5.  Bosco Enjoying the Sun

Bosco enjoyed catching some sun in the yard during some warm days last month.

6.  Fall Decorating

Below is a preview of my fall decorating at my house.

7.  Downton Abbey Movie

I saw the Downton Abbey movie two weeks ago and I loved it.  I watched the whole series and it was fun to watch a continuation of everything again.  I really enjoyed all the funny one liners from Maggie Smith.  Have you seen this movie yet?

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a happy Friday and weekend.

  1. The movie looks good. I saw the preview when we were at a film. I have to check out that foundation. You know I love my It Cosmetics CC+! That dinner out sounded so nice. Bosco is always so handsome. I just decorated for fall too. I'm loving fall candles!

  2. I haven’t seen the movie. We were out of power since Tuesday night, so I m just catching up.
Dinner out is always wonderful. One of my favorites meals is steak and lobster. It is always great to see other reviews regarding makeup. Bosco looks quite happy. I am loving the season, except the no power issue. Have. Lovely weekend Julie. Hugs

  6. I just bought a few candles to burn in the house and while I have really enjoyed the Dear John movie, I'm not sure I ever read the book. I bet I'd love it.

  7. I haven't watched the movie yet, but want to see it soon. I think Maybelline makeup has come a long way from our high school days. I do like IT, too, but like to try different things. I recently went back to the mascara I had loved in high school. It used to be called Fabulash but now is another name (Revlon) and fell in love with it all over again.
Have a great week- xo Diana

  10. I saw Downton Abbey and loved it. I watched the whole series, too, Julie. Thank you for letting me know about the Dream Urban. I have a tiny sample of It foundation, and love it, but it is pricey. I also love Bath and Body candles, and burn them year round.

  12. Hi Julie,
You linked up with Charlotte, Beth and I. Nice to meet you.
    That steak looks scrumptious!!
Your little pup Bosco is adorable.. My two boys have been sitting in sunbeams for the last couple of weeks, trying to suck up all that sunshine and heat before we get snow up here in Canada.

Hope your week has been great! :)
