Hello friends! I hope you all had a great Memorial Day Weekend!
I love making all kinds of salads once the weather gets warmer. I love eating salads for lunch and with our dinner.
I have this really easy and delicious lentil salad to share with you.
I used Trader Joe's Steamed Lentils for this recipe instead of steaming the lentils myself. If you don't have a TJ's near you than you can buy a bag of lentils and cook and steam them.
Below is the box of steamed lentils I used for this recipe.
This is what the TJ's steamed lentils look like when added to a salad bowl. I am so happy I found these lentils and they made the recipe so easy to make and assemble.
Here is the chopped up celery, carrots, and red onion. You can add whatever you like to the salad.
This salad is so healthy and it tastes great. It was the first time I made this salad for my family and they loved it. I hope you all like it too. 😀
I will be making this lentil salad for the next BBQ I host or for any that I will be attending!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all enjoy the end of the week and weekend.
Jess and I invite you to join us on Monday for our 100th Cooking and Crafting with J & J Link Up!
That sounds like a good summer recipe, Julie. My husband would have loved this when he was able to eat food like this. His grandmother made something similar except I am sure it was not as healthy as your recipe. She would have had a lot of something fattening in there. lol
ReplyDeleteHave a great day- xo Diana

ReplyDeleteJulie we always have a package of lentils in the house. Your summer salad made me want to make this since we don't eat enough lentils in the summer months.
ReplyDeleteI love lentils! This looks so good! Thanks for sharing at Home Sweet Home!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea for a salad Julie. Lentils are a staple in our home but I must admit that vuying the pre-steamed version will make things a lot easier. I'll keep my eyes open for some.
