Here is what the baked dog biscuits look like when baked.
My dog Bosco is so happy with them as you can see.

Ingredients
- ¾ cups whole wheat flour (or rye flour or brown rice flour)
- ½ cup cheddar cheese, grated
- 3 tablespoons all-natural applesauce
- 2 tablespoons water
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
- Knead dough on a lightly floured surface and roll out to about half an inch thick. Cut treats with a cookie cutter and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake for about 10 minutes, or until treats are firm to the touch.
- Before freezing or storing, allow cookies to cool and harden, about 50 minutes.
Adapted from the book Beagle: Smart Owner’s Guide
NOTE: The treats typically last up to 1 - 1 1/2 weeks in the fridge. If you don't plan to use up all the treats right away, they can be frozen.

I plan on baking more for Bosco and give them to my neighbor's dogs that I dog sit sometimes. I love spoiling my dog and this is the perfect way with all natural dog treats. They were so good my husband and daughter tried them too! Lol. I hope this has given you an idea if you can't think of what to give your dog for Christmas this year.
