Week 23 - Neutrogena Beach Defense Water + Sun Barrier Stick
Hi friends, and welcome to Week 23 of my Makeup Monday Series. I hope you all had a nice 4th of July weekend. I really enjoyed mine and today I'd like to talk about this new sunscreen I bought from Neutrogena. I was in my yard sunbathing last week and I used this sunscreen. What I liked about it was that it just glides on and it comes in a stick form so you don't need your hands to apply it and no mess. It did not leave a greasy feeling and I even used it on my face. The one thing about this sunscreen that you need to be careful of is when you are applying it that you spread it evenly. When I applied it to my shoulders I missed a few spots and it left those areas a little red. No don't worry I did not get a bad burn!
P.S. - Update on this sunscreen! This past Saturday I went to the beach and I decided to give this sunscreen another try. Guess what, it was a big mistake! It left large red streaks on my legs and on my knees and those spots are now big red splotches. I now have an uneven tan on my legs. It even did the same to my face and I have a red nose, forehead and cheeks.
I thought that this sunscreen would be great for packing in your beach bag, handbag or when traveling. I am disappointed in this sunscreen and I will not be using it anymore. I am very fair skinned and I burn easily if I do not put on sunscreen. I paid $10.99 for this too and I usually use this sunscreen in lotion form or spray from Neutrogena. I was really surprised that it did not work too good. Oh well, I do like trying new products and this is how I find out if they are good or not.
Have you tried this sunscreen yet and did you like it or have any problems with it? What is your favorite sunscreen?
P.S. - Update on my Gel Manicure. My gel manicure removal was not as bad as I thought it was going to be! This is what my nails look like now.
I used Rite Aid Acetone Nail Polish Remover dip-it and put my nails in one at a time and let them soak for about 15 minutes.
I then used a scraper to remove the polish and this is what the scraper looked like:
I then clipped my nails and filed them and applied Essie millionails to my nails.
The funny thing is that my daughter and I thought that my nails look better now than they did before I had the gel manicure!
Thanks everyone and Enjoy!
Julie
